It's almost game-time es
I'm ready for this
Mavs locker room atmosphere: Loose
One never knows whether a loose pre-game locker room is a predictor of a winning locker room, but one thing is certain: If the Mavericks are uptight, they aren't showing it:
A few pregame observations:
--When Caron Butler came back to the locker room after early warmups, Dirk Nowitzki greeted him with "CB, how's the shot look?"
Responded Butler: "Featheryish. Is that a word, featherish?"
--A TV in the locker room showed Game 5. J.J. Barea and Matt Carroll kept forwarding and rewinding to parts of the game in which Eddie Najera bowled over Spurs players. Najera laughed as Barea poked fun at the forward's bull-in-the-china-shop disposition on the court.
What kind of reception does Najera expect from Spurs fans tonight? "I couldn't care less," he said.
--Nowitzki went through his usual pregame shooting routine, finishing, as always, with a dunk from a standing position under the basket.
Then he sprinted out through the tunnel, letting out a primal yell while slapping hands with Mavericks fans who leaned over the railing.
So what do you think: Are they ready, or overconfident?
It's time to do this . If I can't pick up a livestream, then I guess I'll be watching this one at Eno's in Bishop Arts.
Damn the Spurfans sound pumped. This place is gonna be loud.
I cant stand this lineup Rick has out there.
Mavs jumpers not falling.
Need to increase the aggression.
What the is wrong with these guys? Do they not remember how they won Game 5? By attacking the basket?
does anyone know the name of that song that was playing over the speakers right before they went to commercial?
I know I know the song but just cant htink of the name for it.
God damn the Mavs are horrible. Looks like I got two more hours of posting privileges.
tbh I don't understand why you were putting so much faith in Carlisle leading up to the playoffs. As much as I despise D'antoni, he didn't even get out coached by Popovich from 2005-2008 as much as Carlisle is in this series.
bad time for the worst offensive quarter of the year for the guys in blue..
what a in moron
Carlisle overall is a good coach. He's not the first guy to get outdone by Pop.
Would you want him back with Dallas next year?
This is the biggest sack of I've ever seen in my life...WTF????????
Unless we get Phil Jackson or somebody like that, I don't see who is available that would be an obvious upgrade. Most of the ing about him is over how he handled Roddy. I don't ultimately agree with how he used Roddy this year, but I can understand his reasoning and rationale. It's not a fire-able offense.
Just be glad that no matter what, this team will look very different next year. They should anyways. Three first-round exits in four years.
No choice but to keep him out there.
They should be able to get something valuable for Damp. I wonder who they'll target.
Mono was stunningly right. Wow. Way to make me look a colossal assclown.
Why sit Dirk? What's the point? You're facing elimination.
