This is like game 3 when Barea lead a big run and then Carlisle rode him the whole 2nd half. Hope he does the same with Roddy.
We should have put this team away the moment Dirk went out. Two stops and they would have collapsed. I hate how this team relaxes and complicates things for themselfs as well, this could easily turn into a cliffganger of the game, and completely needlessly

Anyone not worried about what's about to transpire in the second half hasn't been watching the NBA very long. This thing will be managed and evened out by the refs. You already saw some of that taking place to end the 1st half. Watch, the Mavs will inevitably start the second half on a run, get every conceivable call (particularly Nowitzki), McDyess will probably be in foul trouble. Don't feel safe, because this one is coming down to the finish.
As soon as I saw the start the Spurs got off to and the way things were going damn near perfectly, I knew it. Before the game, I didn't think it would quite come down to the finish. Now, I'm convinced. The Spurs went up too big too early. If they blow this game, we'll look back at them squandering Nowitzki not playing the majority of the second quarter and missed free throws as the main reasons why.
Beaubois, I knew one game in this series he'd have an impact. The Spurs have to get a hold of him.
First five minutes of the 3rd will be very....VERY... ING IMPORTANT!!!
Mavs ade a run like we expected. No big deal.
the spurs need to come out aggressive now at the beginning of the 3rd and activate their D again. Drive to the basket and D the PNR
Spurs did a lot of things poorly in that 2nd quarter. They had a chance to stop on the Mavericks and finish them (coming back from down 20+ is incredibly difficult and far more difficult than 13 points) and instead played really poorly and allowed a rookie to torch them.
Furthermore despite the 3rd quarter of game 3, its typically a poor quarter for them (see Game 4 - whats up 10-0 run?) so I'm fairly uneasy right now. I hope to see more Manu in the 2nd half and maybe even some Duncan isolations.
Otherwise play some good D and just keep pounding that rock and they should advance tonight. But yeah, terrible 2nd quarter that looks better than it was because of no Dirk.
Mavs didn't go on a run. Spurs just started playing like total dog . missing wide open layups. missing every free throw they can.
Carlisle looking like Pop from last year, refusing to play his talented young-un.
Parker playing bad so far today, poor shooting form on his jumpshots and FTs. George Hill sucks ass so far.
The Tim-Manu pick and roll is effective only if Manu stops making the high risk pass to TD when 3 players converge on TD.
Why the does Pop not give the ball to Manu to end the quarters?
you need a drink.
yes the Mavs are a good team and they will make runs, but letting them do it with Dirk on the bench is pathetic. You have them in foul trouble, so instead of attacking you screw around and get lazy.
Dallas has some momentum and the Spurs better start off quickly in the 3rd or they're going to be in trouble. Refs will not foul out Dirk in 3 quarters.
Spurstalk halftime meltdown!
and the FTs.. that has got to stop
how many cars will Pop end up with after tonight?
the very good news of this half is that Manu is back
Damn, this half can't start and end fast enough, LOL.
And this is why we won't lose tonight
Maybe he needs to stop drinking.
Basically, the Spurs could have finished the Mavs in the 1st half.
I think the Mavs will come back and this game is going down to the wire.
bzzzz! wrong.
they are aggressive. just need to be smarter.
We need to pick this up again...
crush the MavPrick confidence
yep, manu must stop the high risk pass !
