Trust me though, I know how this league works. When things are going that perfect in a game of this magnitude, it's almost guaranteed to do a 180. And with the amount of time left in this game, the Spurs are far from out of the woods. The Mavs have already weathered the storm.

i disagree. refs tend to favor the aggressive team. and if i have to pin my hopes on an unproven player in a very important game, then i'm screwed. mavs have yet to show any consistency on offense to tell me they can mount a serious comeback.

Ginobili needs to cut out these ridiculous passes off the pick-and-roll where he tries to force it to Duncan in traffic or McDyess on the pick-and-pop, where he throws across his body. They're telegraphed. McDyess needs to cut out these forced interior passes to Duncan.

I expect the Spurs to be in attack mode, but they won't be going to the line with the same regularity. In fact, they'll probably be called for a bevy of offensive fouls. On the other hand, McDyess might set a record for quickest to ever get in foul trouble. It says here he'll pick up at least three in the third.
