    make you a warrior?

Seriously. If Timothy Gaylord Duncan were to have post up derek fisher and made a clutch shot in which he would then get pumped and throw a punch in the air as if he accomplished something, could we live with ourselves if we considered that heroic.

Just remember that when other cuck spurfans suggest we should give dirk mad props for being a warrior.

No but being a 7 foot shooter that makes two stupid fouls against a guard in an elimination game does make you a warrior...

    Oh wait nevermind.

35% of his scoring is on bigs... the rest is on ft's and people like roger mason.

If he were to be a post player he'd get worn out and wouldn't avg as much, also would be a slightly below avg defender.

Does it matter? He hits the shot. If he's more comfortable shooting a fadeaway in his natural rhythm, more power to him.

26.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3 assists on 54% shooting (including 57% from three and 95% from the line) in 38 minutes a game?

Yes, I'd say that makes Dirk a warrior for this series.

    Crofl Crofl Crofl!!!

Duncan went up against Dice/Sheed/ Wallace/Shaq/Stoudemire/KG/Malone in his prime face to face in the 4th qtr.

Dirk camped out at the perimeter and went up against Bruce Bowen/Sjax/ Nate Robinson/ Lady Gaga/ Becky Hammon/ George Costanza because his tall ass lounges on the perimeter. Only when the officiating is favoring the Mav's does that asshole drive it in.

Its ironic that you're making him out to be less than Duncan for lacking style instead of taking a look at his substance.

    Ironic as .

In any event, Dirk is a of a player. He's probably the only one on the Mavs I can actually stand.

BTW, no one here is arguing Duncan > Dirk so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove.

agreed ive never been a fan of his style, when i think warrior i think of guys that are fearless and attack the basket relentless not this...the fact that he flops so much after sticking his elbow into defenders to create seperation when going up for the shot also really bothers me. check the one-handed off the glass and1 he got on Dice today...he pump fakes than throws his elbow into Dice and goes flying as if he he was hammered, he also tried to flop early in the game and fell to the floor but the refs ignored it.

he's a great player and has a great shot, but i cant say im a fan of his style. also warriors dont pick up ridiculous fouls like his 3rd and 4th fouls were he left his team out to dry when they were getting hammered in the 1st half...the run and momentum change happened at the end of the 1st half without Dirk, Beoubis was the one that brought them to life and than Dirk came in in the 2nd half to help him out.

Miller wasn't a warrior because he shot jump shots. Jordan wasn't a warrior later in his career because he shot jump shots.

    So stupid.

    Dirk is a great player.

I don't get why so many spurstalkers are scoffing him after we get our sweet revenge. He ing tore into us almost every game. Name one other player in the game so ing deadly at jump shots. He is what he is.
There are like 6 other players on that roster that deserve more scof e than him.

    Style?

I didn't see a style argument in that one. Face it, we give props to dirk for shooting a high percentage over beno udrih, jacque vaughn, tony parker, nate robinson and the barbosas of the world.

Why don't coaches guard him with bigger players?

And yeah style. You're scoffing him based on how he scores his points, not IF he scores them.

    Why do you hate reading?

Jordan was guarded by shooting guards, people taller or of the same height, so with Miller. Dirk shoots over Beno Udrih, and we call him a warrior.

So because he has a skillset you rarely see in a seven footer that makes him LESS of a player?

Exactly. Dude s on post players guarding him. He's a matchup nightmare and it's because he has such a multifaceted offensive game. How is this difficult to comprehend?

that's simplifying my argument. If i said dirk should not be considered a tough guy warrior because he shoots shots.. then you'd have a point.

It's who his compe ion is. yeah he's a matchup nightmare, but does he go to battle against men his size in the clutch.. No way jose. THat guy defers and lets all the midgets in his team do most of the inside game.. It's like topsy turvy world.

I mean it's not his fault he can shoot jumpers at an efficicient rate, and that not many big men are as mobile as he is. Just, don't expect me to give him props for beating up on midgets more than half the time, not his fault, but don't give me that .
