Assuming the Lakers get to the finals and that they win, what makes you think Kobe will get it?

    OK.

Kobe needed 13 seasons in the NBA to win his 1st finals MVP and Lakerfan is acting like it's an award he owns.

don't think so. LeBron might actually lose out to durant just because the voters will get sick of voting for him.

lmao durant will NEVER reach lebron's game.

I'm talking about playmaking ability, getting to the finals with scrubs ability, etc. Durant sure looks like a tmac with passing inversed with rebounding. He's an awesome scorer but does not have the tools to reach lebrons level.

As for brhornet, if not james then who? durant (look above. now image james with westbrook harden ibaka and jeff green), kobe (lol), wade (waited for fa class this year), dwight?

Get your head out of your sandy and be a witness. Stop whining all the time, this ain't your all-pussy wnba thread, this da real deal.

Well deserved. I mean, you could make an argument for Durant because he did lead a team of youngsters to a 50-win season. But LeBron had another monster season and deserves the accolade. I do think that there will be a few years of domination, but I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Durant and other youngsters challenging for the MVP trophy in the years to come.

agreed and agreed. not sure it should be UNANIMOUS because Howard and Durant were amazing late and Melo and Kobe were early ....

But he had the most consistently great season of the guys in consideration ...

In the coming years Lebron is going to get the same treatment Jordan got where they give the MVP to someone else just to break up the monotony. That's how Karl Malone got his first MVP in '97 despite Jordan putting up his usual numbers and the Bulls having 69 wins. You just can't have the same guy winning it every year lol.
