If they feel the need to risk his health for the whole series just to win the first game, they can go right ahead.

Horry would be ready for a shoulderblock to Lopez's back a la David West if he was still in uniform.
There is nothing wrong with his health. His only problem for awhile now has been conditioning.
I wonder how many times Lopez has been asked for ID?
I do think they probably should hold him out until Game 2 or 3, though, just to make sure he's ready to contribute.
Back pain is a .
It's crazy the amount of strength you lose from tweaking your back.
havent seen him play but the suns fans are really high on this guy sayin he can defend TD...and he makes scoring tough for TD....thoughts??
Too bad for PHX that the good Lopez is in NJ
I always thought the Phoenix franchise should be called The ty Twins, because that's what they always seem to wind up with.
Jarron Collins
Robin Lopez
Taylor Griffin
Damn, impressive list
No wait....
What if Good Lopez has grown his hair?
They could bring him in for a few extra bucks and send Robin to NJ, nobody would notice![]()
If he does, I want to see him hit with one well placed back screen.
Its a gamble playing him IMO but if professional doctors give the OK then perhaps he can. He'd be out of shape though and might be a liability. His impact could be more emotional and psycholological and the Suns' fans would love it, no doubt.
If he is weak from the back, Tim will take advantage.
SA's staff would notice the minute he dropped a double/double, something that's impossible for Robin to do. It would have to be Brook at that point.![]()
Robin doesn't put up stats, but you guys do know he's not exactly a scrub right?
Spurs should definitely try to exploit this match-up since he could be rusty and not conditioned. Might also throw off the Suns chemistry a little bit even though he's one of those guys that doesn't need plays.
The Suns are a Top-5 rebounding team with Lopez in the lineup. Even without Lopez in the lineup, the Suns still outrebounded the Blazers in the previous series.
Because after Camby they had who to rebound?
that is mean. i guess if a Spur does that, it will guarantee Manu gets an elbow to the nose.
Mean? Too bad. This is professional sports and this is the playoffs; this isn't youth sports. You look for every advantage you can get within' the rules. Why would you not attempt to do this? I'm not saying do something ridiculous that's outside of the rules and may merit a suspension, I'm talking about a basketball play: back screen. Similar to what Horry did to West in '08 when he had a bad back.
Bulging discs in the back are no joke and are injuries that linger around for quite a long time...
