I never wear any Spurs attire on game days unless I'm at the game when they're on the road (I only get to see them once a year). They always lose when I do that.
Well the current one I have is that I only shave when the Spurs lose and when I do they seem to start winning again. So I haven't shaved since their last loss to Dallas.
And I gotta talk positive about all the Spurs players and cheer them on even from home otherwise if I get negative they start struggling. I have to believe!![]()

I have to wear at least 3 things with the Spurs logo on every gameday (including regular season/preseason).
Currently, if the game is on FSNSW and nationally televised they lose (or the other team starts a run) if I watch it on FSN. Plus the A/V quality sucks comparatively, so I'm alright sticking to this one.
I think the crowd sound is better on FSNSW than TNT/ESPN.
On game days, I drink from my Manu cup.![]()
I never have sex during Spurs' playoff games, did it once in 2000, and they lost to Phoenix....never again.
And the wife is ok with this?![]()
thrilled, in fact every time I want to have sex, she asks "aren't the Spurs playing right now?"

So what happens during the summer months?

I watch the Spurs championship dvds and watch the parts that show the team we are currently facing. example: the Suns. I watched the segment of them on the 03,05, 07 dvd.
Too weird! I do the exact same thing!
Really I always wear my Spurs championship 2007 shirt when they play and they seem to win. Odd! Maybe these things we do have no affect on the outcome!
But you'll never convince me!![]()
Every May 11 (my birthday) The Suns face Spurs in playoffs...and win.
Ok, i will not see the game.![]()
Jim failed to mention he has a similar supers ion regarding regular season Rangers baseball and Cowboys football.
Oh and he didn't say he actually slept with the wife in 2000.
Not a supers ion so much as a statement on my daily existence.
We don't watch the game live. They've lost every game since the beginning of April we watched live.
Instead, we follow via crawl and box score play-by-play and watch later.
What can I say? I don't believe it has any actual effect, but it seems to coincide with their wins. . . We'll see if that continues into May.
Hey, that's why they call it a supers ion, right? My "not wearing Spurs gear" thing is so thoroughly ingrained that when we were up 22 on the mavs in game 6, I put on my Ginobili jersey that I always wear to the gym, since I had an intramural game later that night. You should have seen how fast I ripped that thing off when the mavs started coming back lol. Never again!
Not even gonna wear anything Silver and Black today. I'm doing my part, for what it's worth (if nothing but my own warped peace of mind!)
Supers ions are freakin dumb! There is no such thing as "luck" or you actions affecting the game.
That being said, I don't bet on Spurs Playoff games, and I don't allow certain people to watch (or if I do, I "manage" their watching by telling them to look away from the TV if the other team is making a run, etc.)
So far this postseason the spurs have won when I wear the 2005 NBA Champions hat on game day. Any other spurs hat and they lose. I'm wearing my 05 hat right now and plan on wearing it from here on out or until the spurs lose. Then i will try a new hat, if it doesn't work I will go back to my 05 hat.
Tequila shots to start the playoffs. Before Round 1, Game 1.
Bobblehead Timmy comes out for the playoffs.
Spurs cap on game days.
When in dire need of a win, time to pull out the Ginobili jersey or the Timmy All-Star jersey.
And as I've mentioned before, I won't talk about a comeback unless we've tied or taken lead.
Too funny.
Is it always the same kind of tequila? I hope so.![]()
You're right. The crowd is way better on FSN so I'll flip over to FSN if I want to hear the crowd going nuts for something like a dunk/opponent timeout. Or if I want to hear them and Sean freak out about something like Najera's flagrants.
But if I forget to flip back over and continue watching the game on FSN the other team starts a run.
I watch the game on TV. If I'm at the game I watch it there, not on TV.
I can't watch any open 3's during close games. Too stressful, I think I might throw a remote at my TV if I do. But it is nice just hearing the crowd roar on made ones.... like that Hill corner 3 last game during crunch time.
