Hopefully it's a great game. I've said that the winner of this game will almost def. win the series. If anyone wants some hilariously terrible journalism, this article got a few laughs out of me:

IMO Suns will win big tonight. All the Sun fans and NBA fans will immediately hop on the Suns empty bandwagon and the real series will finally start.

Whoever wins game 2 will most likely win the series.

If the Spurs win either game @ Phoenix, they probably win the series. The Suns CANNOT let their confidence be dropped from an early loss at home. They have to take both.

    Nope.

Spurs can win game 1, 2 or 5 and hold serve on homecourt to win series.

Yes they can. The Suns also have the ability to steal a game in SA. I'm saying that greater likelihood is that whichever team strikes blood first wins.

Duncan, have they even sold it out yet? They've been trying to give tickets away for days.

You all know how I stand. I want the Spurs to administer an ass pounding the likes which haven't been recorded since Kobe made Katelyn bend over that chair.

    Savvy?

I think the Suns will win tonight game. I actually predicted that the Suns are going to win this series in 6 games. I just think this Suns team has a better chance at dethroning the Spurs this year than years past. However, I'll keep cheering for my boys in silver and black and hope they prove me wrong.

No, I'm hidin' under Swordsman's bed tonite during the game. Were going to play Parchessi and peek at his sister when she goes to the bathroom.

Based on what hypothesis, Duncan? Don't just blurt out something like that without some reasoning. It's ignorant, + it scares me.

Idk Cubby I'm in Tucson. I woulda bought tickets to drive up for the game but I've got a final tomorrow that I've been studying for all day while posting.

If the game is not sold out, that's embarrassing. People rallied around the in Coyotes for making the playoffs and losing in the first round, I figured those same bandwagoning assholes would be jumping on with the Suns right now.

Well, they stole game 4 in San Antonio in 2007.

In 2008 they obviously had the ability to steal game 1 in SA, I'll be more than happy if tonight's game comes down to whether or not Duncan can make a three.

The one thing I will say is that Phoenix has a lot of players this year who play well at home and then suck on the road (Frye, Hill, Dudley).

Remember this? Marbury's buzzer beater to steal game 1?

LOL. Spurs still won in 6.

If it does, I would be willing to bet money he would hit the 3.

Comparing the 2003 Stephon Marbury Suns to this current Suns team is dumber than most of the things you post in the political forum, and that's saying a lot. The Starbury Suns were barely a playoff team.

Yup, he banked it in to force OT

Still, that comparison is re ed. The Spurs won the championship that year, the Suns were a 44 win team that had the triple headed monster of Jake Tsakalidis, Jake Voskul and Scott Williams playing center.

I like all the suns fans here (except for da_suns_fan), so it's hard to do anything but talk basketball. I wish you all good health, and may your team lose in embarrassing fashion.

As far as tonight is concerned, i think the Spurs can drop this one and still win the series (it'd be much tougher though). I think the suns pretty much have to take this game if they want to win the series. It'd be too much of a mental rape job if they drop the opening game...at home.

It seems like people have not been paying attention to the Suns. They have been playing the best ball in the NBA over the last month going into the playoffs. Then in the playoffs, they rip 2 wins off in Portland. That is incredibly difficult to do, even if they have injuries.

Their defense has improved and they shot lights out from three point land. This is not your average Suns team.
