Honestly I'm not worried about this game, mostly because we played like we should be down by 30 but are only down by 10. Once things even out, we'll end up down by 5 or 6 at some point in the game, and the game will be winnable. That's all you can ask for.

Up to making timely shots/stops at that point.

It sucks that the Spurs have to match the size of Richardson, Hill and Dudley by using the undersized George Hill and Roger "worst defender in the NBA" Mason..
That's not fair. You're leaving out Michael Finley and Brian Cardinal. Mason can't be worse than thos... okay, maybe he is the worst.

I think Duncan's knees are more of an issue than we're told. It's a matter of severity on any given night, he can be okay one day and bad the next. Duncan, and the team, never play the injury card, we're not being told how he is day-to-day. We're getting the sound bites that he feels okay, and at that moment he may.

But I can't think of any other reason for his game varying so much in the Playoffs. This is his time of year, he just doesn't wuss out. If he's off there's a reason.
That's what I thought, he must be more injured than what we've been told!

The first five minutes will be so damn important. If the Suns push it to 15 or more Pop will get ready to pull the plug.

Is Hairston on the active playoff roster? I would much rather see him in there instead of Mason. He would be the best matchup against Richardson/Grant Hill.

George Hill just isn't big enough to guard either of them...plus he isn't quick enough to guard Nash. He may be able to guard Barbosa since he dribbles in straight lines but that is about it...

parker needs to start. he knows how to destroy nash. only question is who will be starting off the bench, hill or ginobili.
    Ginobili should be better.

We need to get RJ involved. If we can cause more TOs RJ could get into this game.

Mason is liability on defense, as well as a liability on offense. Why is he still playing?!

I think it might be time to bring Manu in off the bench again.

I think Pop will give Hill another shot to start the 2nd half, if it doesn't work out TP will start for the rest of the series.
I think he will do that but the risk is Nash on fire the first minutes and pop white flag right after

I would take Finley over Mason at this point...he could at least mix in an occasional 3.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bogans over Mason on Richardson. The problem is, if he gets switched out on Nash, it's a guaranteed layup.
Probably no more than just about anyone else guarding Nash at this point. His length might help him to stay in the neighborhood to at least contests Nash's drive I think.

Agree 100%. Tim is mentally tough. I think the equipment is wearing out. They won't make any excuses, but he doesn't have the look in his eyes like he wants to attack. I've never seen that in the playoffs before.

I really hope that TP starts the 2nd half and that he's in attack mode! Nash's 5-5 shots killed us at the beginning of the game.

At least, if TP make him work on defense and pick up some fouls (2 fouls for nash).
