no more victories, but its a marathon not a sprint, and i've seen the spurs come back on the suns after losing the first game. So you know what its li.........oh wait you dont
Congrats, you've seen the Spurs lose game 1 to a 44 win team led by Stephon Marbury and then come back.

I'm not saying Phoenix doesn't have issues to concern, I just find it funny Spurfan is harping on Phoenix like they're the team that needs to be making adjustments.

The Spurs adjusted, tied the game up and then lost. It's not like their adjustments were too little too late. Even with their adjustments, Phoenix closed the game out down the stretch.

If you're banking on missed layups again, it could go either way. They got into the lane damn easy, too easy

And Jason Richardson got open WAY too easy, maybe you should worry more about that considering he had a bigger night than either Parker or Manu.

Neither defense looked solid so i'm not exactly sure what the point of this thread is.

"The Suns defense isn't as improved as you think it is. The Spurs defense might be worse."

This is what I agree with. Without a healthy Lopez, the Suns' D isn't much better, but this is a far cry from the 2007 Spurs defense Phoenix faced.

What we have here is a classic example of an insecure person being overly aggressive in an empty and pathetic attempt to hide their own weakness. A tried and true tactic of the simple minded.

George Hill played like he was expecting a ton of work on the offensive end. He had absolutely no focus on the defensive end. We're talking about a guy who guards Durant and Kobe and makes them work hard for quality shots. He was out there playing defense like he needed to save himself so he could put up 45 pts.

Without Lopez i'm not sure what adjustments the Suns can actually make. The Spurs, on the other hand, have some work to do.

Well word is Lopez has a good chance of returning on Wednesday.

And yeah I've always been a fan of George Hill, hopefully for his sake an improved jumper doesn't derail the type of player he is. This is an under the radar thing that happens to players who come in the league as gritty hustle players with weak jumpers who bust their ass on both ends, then get lazy and complacent once they develop a jumper. Josh Howard being a great example of this.

Yes you got me, i'm actually Garrett Temple and i'm just blowing off steam that Mason got PT ahead of me.

Cause that's the only way its "my" weakness, if I'm on the team you see. But i'm not on the team. Havin trouble understanding that one myself actually. Your post is what im having trouble understanding. not why I'm not on the team. I see i have to clarify for you people cause you have trouble reading between the lines.

He started doing it in the Dallas series. No one said much about it because he was dropping 20 pts...but now he's becoming a detriment out there. He needs to get back to focusing on defense. The offense will come on its own.

Suns fans have been saying for awhile that the key to the Suns' improved defense is the presence of Robin Lopez in the paint. Without him, we have no Center.

Without Lopez, the Suns are obviously not as good defensively.

Josh Howard was a good example btw. Matt Barnes will also do it from time to time if he's hitting shots.

Quentin Richardson is the other really good example I can think of. His defense on the Suns got progressively worse and worse in 2005 as he continued to chuck 3's. By the time he got traded to NY, all he did was chuck 3's, he didn't play a lick of defense. LA was smart to let Ariza leave because I think he's the next player to add to this list.

Alrighty then. I can see this fella here is about as slow as molasses so I am going to walk him through this nice and easy. Watch how this works folks.

First I question where you see me implying that you are part of the team? The over aggression I refer to exists within your post, not within your team. The weakness I refer to arises from your team and finds its self incarnate within you as a fan. You fear this weakness. You cannot confront it rationally so you begin to grasp at straws. The topic of the "vaunted sun's defense" is one you your self create. You create this as a symbol onto which you can direct your anger and fear. Thus the weakness of your team becomes your own personal weakness.

That's just it, i don't associate my team's weakness with my own weaknesses. I never associate myself with the Spurs, I never ever use "I" or "Us" or "we" when referring to the Spurs. Cause it is ing juvenile. I knew you were saying i associated myself with the team, but i was telling you that I'm not part of the team at all.

What's the story on Lopez? I'm not a fan of bringing injured players back late in the season, but Collins is horrible, that boy doesn't know what to do when he gets a rebound or just about any other situation. He plays like Dragic during his first year.

I thought the half court defense was good enough. They need to stop Parker and Ginobili from taking it coast to coast.

Same story with Lopez, day by day his status for Wednesday is up in the air, it is supposed to be a sure thing he comes back during this series. If he can come back for Wednesday that's huge. Just like game 1, I have absolutely no idea what I think happens tomorrow
