some people think that. I don't really think it's "cool", per se, but I always thought it was an interesting idea, especially since they actually appeared exclusively as their personas for a while.

I just fail to see how anybody takes prog rock even remotely seriously. Pink Floyd worked really hard (it shows in that inorganic way of theirs) to create music that sounds cool when you're trying to figure out what music is, but at the end of the day, they're just some dumb prog rock band. A step up from Yes and the ELO.

Personally I like Floyd. I think lyrically they are a deeper band. The second disk of The Wall and The Final Cut are fantastic.

a "The Final Cut" reference? Nice. Even many Floyd fans don't know about that album. As a sort of extension to the Wall, it makes sense, but ends up coming off as Roger Waters first solo album as opposed to anything Floydish.

Pink Floyd, but both are my favorites bands. The Led Zeppelin´s movie "The song remains the same" is my favorite also.
