can you say ing scrubs???????
I hope Pop reads his own player's notes before gametime
Playoffs:Appeared in five games, averaging 0.6 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.40 assists in
11.2 minutes … shooting .091 (1-11) from the floor, .143 (1-7) from the three-point line
and .000 (0-0) from the free throw line… scored playoff season-high 3 points (1-6 FG), 2
rebounds at DAL on 4/27… recorded two DNP’s vs. DAL on 4/25 and 4/29.
Matt Bonner BTW:
Playoffs:Appeared in seven games, averaging 3.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists in
15.6 minutes … shooting .357 (10-28) from the floor, .294 (5-17) from the three-point line
and .000 (0-0) from the free throw line.
Vince Carter's shooting 10% from 3 point land also. Atrocious and he played against a ty Bobcats team and now another bad team in the Hawks.
Say what you will about Richard Jefferson and McDyess...both have at least been better than Vince Carter and Sheed.
I cant recall the one shot he DID actually make in the playoffs, was it against Dallas?
Mason needs to get it out of his head that he is a 3 point specialist. It seems that he is pretty accurate when he takes a couple of steps in from the arc. I feel like as soon as he touches the ball, he is already committed to looking for the three before he even sees how the defense reacts. It's too bad. He seems like a good guy and fits the Spurs as far as his character.
It's not only the playoffs, Mason is 29 for 123 from the distance since January 31st. (23.5%)
If Pop wants to put a player in that can make a three he mine as well put Mike Bud at the 2.
Mason has been atrocious in all phases.
Anyone who has hoped he could turn it around this series is completely wrong. The guy is a lost cause and he hasn't showed any signs the past 3 months that it will turn around.
I can't wait til he's gone, I've been wanting him gone for over a year already.
I was watching game 1 with a casual bball fan(loose) because he's only seen the playoffs games and even he said," why is that guy playing he never does anything"after watching 6 games

I bet Roger Mason Jr. lurks around these forums...definitely not good for his confidence if he does.
lol @ all the Mason whining.
It's just hilarious how the Mason homers from last year are just now realizing how bad Mason is in other aspects of the game.
Vince has been levels better than RJ in the 2nd half of the season(despite battling injuries all year) and he was the best player on 2 of the 4 wins vs. Charlotte and the best player in the 2nd half of last night's game..
Cane believes Carter has sucked and Dwight isn't that good..how the is Orlando so good then? LOL..
the weird thing is Mason actually came into this season in BETTER shape than last season. all signs pointed that he would improve this year, be a rotation player. people have been harping on RJ all season, but only because he's the fresher acquisition. he's warranted a lot of it (and some not, too), but RMJ IMO is the biggest let down of the season for me. i never expected big things out of RJ, his skill-set isn't ideal for the system we run; however, in theory, RMJ should thrive in this system. And with a year of Spurs basketball under his belt, going back to the SG position (where he did very well last season), coming into this season in better condition, and the fact that it's a contract year for him, he was expected to be the gunner (THAT WE DESPERATELY NEED) from 3 for us. I was expecting RMJ before his pg stint for us this year. i'm not going to call this season a failure yet, but if it does end up that way (if we lose to the Suns), he'll be a big reason why. he was expected to be the 3-ball guy amidst the that we have on the wings from that range in RJ and Bogans.
Mason can be very valuable if the Spurs need to do a hack-a-someone.![]()
I'd love to see the Suns' scouting report on Mason.
Roger doesn't care anymore he knows he won't be here next year so he doesn't give a anymore
Right. But at this point, he's playing himself out of the NBA.
Mason is the best hacker in the history of western civilization.
He's gone from a 1-dimensional player to a 0-dimensional player. He's like J. J. Red without the jumpshot.
lol, i will take a re w/o the jumpshot over this scrub.
Hey now, Re without the jump shot can still drive to the lane now. I honestly feel bad for RMJ though. Worst he's ever shot in his career.
He can only go up from here. He can go no lower. My gut tells me that rog will be the unlikely hero somewhere in this series. The sun shines on a dogs ass every now and then. I must admit I was high on the guy. Sad to see him struggle.
I kinda agree, RMJ Bognar will do something special before this series is over.
Carter's been nothing but a disappointment imo, he had only 1-2 good months.
RJ's far more efficient and doesn't get anywhere near as many touches.
If you watched the series then you realize how strong Orlando's depth is and how ty Charlotte is imo. Nelson looked like the best PG in the league with Felton guarding him.
Everyone likes a redemption story, I hope Mason can find his way back. He looks like a lost soul out there, it's a shame to see a man so totally lose his confidence.
So if he does read this forum, he's got at least one fan rooting for him. God bless ya, dude.
