So you're telling me that all these Nash's fans didn't know that his wife is Paraguayan?
This can serve as the game 3 Suns vs. Spurs thread.
Regarding why I like Nash, most would think it's because of the fact Phoenix is good again, and maybe that's a contributor to it, but immigration events that have unfolded around Nash the last few days are about as funny as it gets.
Since he rejoined the Suns in 2005 and led the team to 62 wins, the red neck Conservatives (I'm talking the people who think Barack Obama is a Muslim and people who no longer like McCain because he's not conservative enough) in Arizona started to watch basketball. Nothing was better than an undersized white guy dominate what they thought to be a sport filled with no good thugs and gang bangers of dark skinned orientation. Naturally, these same Conservatives support the SB1070 bill.
Nash vocalizing his opposition to the bill this week has caused quite a problem in the Arizona redneck community. They always figured Nash hated minorities as much as they did, and that's what motivated him to be so good at basketball. It turns out, he just loves basketball and busted his ass to be good at it, and is actually a devout liberal. Nash is no dummy, he knew that when he publicly spoke against the bill, he'd lose a ton of support from the Conservative wasps in Phoenix. Props to him for sticking to who he truly is, and not giving a what people think about it![]()

"what they thought to be a sport filled with no good thugs and gang bangers of dark skinned orientation."
That's exactly the kind of sport it is. Well, except the Utah Jazz of course.
P.S. Nash will burn in .
I was thinking the same thing. Nash's wife is of Hispanic descent I'm pretty sure. But besides the point I give Props to Nash
Doubt it. I've seen three different posts on a Suns message board from random trolls who popped up outa nowhere wishing that Nash gets hip checked into a scorers' table again because they no longer like him.
jefferson blown dunk
You should root for the Suns to lose so that people doesn't get happy, imho.
Those people want the Suns to lose now.
just saw the press conference clip "remember the hornets"
Pop is right. Nash and Amare aren't innate losers like West and Paul.
You won't see Leandro ing Barbosa taking 13 4th quarter shots if this goes to Game 7.
Not even sure if I'm watching the whole game. The spurs look comfy at home and need this one to even have a chance so they have to go all out. All I ask is for the suns to beat the out of the spurs this game physically.
Can somebody please tell Jason Richardson that he is Jason Richardson.
I'll take that given how terribly the Suns played that quarter. I'm not sure I agree with leaving Bonner open early on so he can get a rhythm going, but 9 points isn't bad after that quarter.
God dammit Gentry, wtf does Barbosa have to do to get benched permanently
yeah did care much for bonner he's like Fyre when it comes to shooting at home. Oh nice layup attempt barbacoa... BTW, I liked the no call early on when Giflopli tried to draw a cheap on one Amare.
Come on suns, don't let it be a blowout, you don't want the spurs scrubs gaining confidence.
Well this could get bad, not sure why Barbosa is the only bench player Gentry hasn't pulled the plug on yet.
It is really just the rebounding. This game looks like game 2, except the Spurs are actually rebounding. Suns are still presenting the same problems, but the Spurs are just doing a better job on the boards so far.
wHY THE IS BARBOSA STILL IN THE GAME? HE JUST ED UP AGAIN.
When did Barbosa turn into ? That basket notwithstanding.
