Some of you act like you've never seen an NBA playoff game before. The game doesn't really start until the 3rd quarter, the team that makes the plays these last 2 quarters always wins. The Spirs need to be that team again like they were consistently last series.

It'll be interesting to see his reactions should the Spurs make some big shots.
He'll just continue talking about the Suns like nothing has happened. Have you heard about their improved defense? I mean, the Spurs missed 9 FT's and still scored 50 points in the half, but the Suns' defense is so improved.

Point of emphasis: No one on the Suns can really guard Tim straight up...if you're going to stagnate the offense or Phoenix is going to pack the lane, give Tim the ball on the block and let him work. REPOST if he kicks it out instead of chucking. Thank you.

The thing is, the Spurs know what is killing them, but they can't seem to stop it. That is the scary part.

    Defend the 3 point line.

    Get Tim involved.

    Stay aggressive and make FT's.

    Continue to rebound.

Hard to see how the Spurs would have a better chance of beating LA.
    Suns/LA might be a of a series.

Also, the way they handled this season was inspiring. Did you know they almost traded A'm'a'r'e? Well they didn't and that made them stronger. It's inspirational

Probably because he has missing gimmies and bricking FT's.

Did Jon Berry ever play for the Suns? He's commentating this game like he is a part owner.
He's had a problem with the Spurs since his brother got the rings with the Spurs. They're hyper-compe ive and it eats him up that his brother had the more accomplished career and he's all sorts of bitter.

The momentum turned on Parkers 4 missed free throws. It took the air out of the balloon and we just lost our focus. Our at ude is so fragile.

Suns are a great team, but this is a little disappointing. Spurs need to focus on defending the 3 point line better. The rebounding is good. If they clean up the defense, stay aggressive and make ft's they will be fine.

They have to play much better defense though. Spurs can get good looks when they are smart and aggressive. They have to focus more though.
It's not a little disappointing, it's very disappointing. Sure they built a great lead, but it ended up meaning nothing because they gave it up in an instant, they didn't even know what to do to stop it from happening.

"If they focus on defending 3 point line better....if they clean up the defense...if they stay aggressive...if they make FTs...they will be fine."

I agree with this. The problem is, all of these things were said throughout this entire series, throughout both first games, and now these trends on continuing. It's game 3 already and they still refuse to cover the 3 point line, refuse to stay aggressive and hold onto their leads, refuse to make a FT. I just don't get it, nothing makes me think they will do all of these things for the rest of the series, or even this game, but they'll need to if they want to avoid getting swept.

Some people say they are a little worried, we should be completely worried. Not trying to be a complete pessimist but the Spurs have failed to adjust this series. They started awesome this game but it doesn't even matter anymore. Hopefully they can sharpen those areas up in the 2nd half, but just based on short history (games 1,2, and 1st half of 3) I don't see it happening.

No . Lets all collapse on the guy going to the rim so he can kick it out to one of the three guys wide open for the 3. Brilliant ain't it?

Spurs still have a lead. They cleaned up the rebounding. Spurs just made some defensive mistakes and the Suns are just doing what they do; punishing you for your mistakes and being explosive.

The Spurs are doing a lot of things well, but just like in the first 2 games, the things they are doing wrong are the only things you can't do against the Suns if you want to beat them in a series.

Going into this game, the Spurs needed to do 2 of these 3 things in order to turn the series around:

    1) Defend the 3 point line better.

    2) Shoot better from 3.

    3) Rebound much better. Win the boards.

Right now, the Spurs have done #3, but they have to get better in either #1 or #2 if they want a legit shot at winning the game/series.

Just like saying randomly "you are on my ", when we never talk. You look like an idiot when you use random throw away lines that make absolutely no sense. Especially towards a poster that is always on here and constantly talking ball with everyone.

Read your first three posts. Read Ploto's. Same . Over and over. Nothing useful. Just let it go.
I could find you a dozen posts in that same span of being saying the same thing. People were calling the Spurs idiots and pussies in this thread. You decided to make an ad hominem attack on me being from Toronto because you incorrectly took it as a slight to the Spurs.

Hence I said you were on my . I'm not sure you mean "whenever we talk," I don't remember saying that before. You're being a clown and you're too stubborn to admit it.

I liked the strategy earlier of trapping Nash above the arc, it seemed to fluster him (might have even walked with no call made) and it allowed the other Spur defenders to recover quicker on rotations because they had a shorter distance to travel. That and NOT collapsing on him in the lane is the recipe to limiting the Suns offensive opportunities as a team.

either don't use him or put him close to the rim

Really? Tell that to the Celtics.

This game could have followed the same pattern as the previous game if the Spurs hadn't let up on the gas.

Spurs defense was not as good as some seemed to think. Phoenix missed a number of pretty open shots. Even though the Spurs were winning, the Suns were playing more physical.
