I have no idea why people are so surprised.

We were cod-ordinary for the entire regular season, played a great first round, but did people think that our form for the entire year wasn't a truer picture than one isolated series against a good matchup (ie an aging, slow team)?

No ing way it is. Last year was a pathetic first round loss. This year I think we exceeded mid-season expectations by getting to the 2nd round.
Yeah, I'd have to agree. I hate looking at the probability of getting swept by Phoenix, but given how poorly the Spurs played most of the season and how obvious it was quite early on they were not a championship-level team, I'm not that upset about it. I still think the '01 sweep by the Lakers was the most upsetting playoffs loss for me.

I don't actually mind Phoenix and this year they're clearly the better team. I just hope they can keep this up against the Lakers.

So, if Jefferson leaves (opts out), is that a bad thing? Dude sucks.
No way he opts out. He'd be lucky to make $7 mill next year.

The Big 3 are not at fault for this at all.

The Spurs role players and bench (excluding Dice) in this series could not provide any sort of consistent contributions.

Is anyone really surprised the Suns bench is blitzing the Spurs right now? The Spurs starters have been having to expend and incredible amount of energy to keep these games close; with the bench unable to sustain any sort of effort to give the starters rest.
Bull . If Parker and Duncan could focus in a must-win game and make a damn free throw it wouldn't even be at this point. They gave away 10+ points on the foul line and you can't do that against a potent offensive team like the Suns.

LMAO. Are you guys just butthurt or what?
It you think Dragic is some wonder player, you are just another one of many who over react to one amazing game. Great game for the kid, but don't fool yourself into thinking he is an elite player and that this was expected.

He has shown some decent flashes, but no where near anything like this. Get real.

And we had too many players who kept looking for whistles. The is, when they got them and couldn't do anything with them.

Tony and Tim's missed FT's were huge momentum changers. There's enough blame to go around.

Yep - Tim and Tony were horrendous at the line tonight. And Phoenix is just hot and they're playing inspired basketball. Spurs should learn something from them. They were down big time - but didn't panic; they just kept playing and got back in the game one possession at a time.

It's just like we did against Dallas. We wanted revenge and the guys played like it. Now it's the Suns who are finally getting revenge on the Spurs. But they'll never beat the Lakers.

This team has THE ing Tim Duncan and we never post him up because our guards are a bunch of overdribbling dumbasses who all suffer from such tunnelvision and lack of passing ability that they don't have the wherewithal to perform a simple entry pass.

Dumbass guards can't guard anybody so we have to put ing Tim Duncan on a little guy and watch his ass get torched because Nash and Grant and Drogic would torch any of our defensively challenged guards twice as bad.

I know Tim is old now but damn who the else are we gonna go to? Tony is fat and slow now and Manu is streaky and turnover prone in crucial moments. Better to die with Tim like we used to live with him than to leave him out in the cold with no ing touches in the last 2 quarters of a game.

    these no-passing guards.
