Will root for the Phoenix Suns to beat the Lakers.

The Suns played it fair and brilliant. I don't think they have anyone to take on the three headed monster of Gasol, Odom and Bynum inside, but if they keep pounding the threes in, they have a chance.

It would be a pleasant culmination to see the Suns taking on the Cavs in the Finals. Two cities that have won nothing. And it should be fun as well.

Gotta give the Suns credit, as much as I hate this team, major props goes to this suns squad who finally got the monkey off their back and beat the Spurs, with Duncan, Ginobili and Parker on the roster. Congrats and good luck against the Lakers (Lakers are sweeping the Jazz, no doubt about it)

I just can't bring myself to root for the Suns (unless they're playing against Dallas), but I can certainly tip my hat to them. They played some good basketball for 4 quarters of 4 games and staged some good rallies when we started to gain control during the series to keep the Spurs at bay. Good job.

As I said the other day, congratulations to all of our die-hard Suns fans in residence. To those of you who were here when the Spurs had the upper hand, this is your moment. Congrats and good luck!

    Beat LA!

I'm torn. I love Nash and Hill, but I hate Sarver and Phoenix fans.

    Anyone but LA though.
+1, but I am going to root for LA now

Things went the Suns way but they also hit shot after shot after shot - good luck going fwd.
Everything that happened in this series was a complete reversal of series' past.

The Suns were able to rally and grind out wins.
The Suns were deeper and players stepped up, as they have since the break.

The Spurs got hammered much as the Suns have in years past.. It's just nice to be on the other side of the outcome finally.

The Spurs need more 3pt shooters and they'll be right back where they are and also a better backup to Parker.

    cheers

They dominated the Spurs fair and square. I have complete respect for Nash and Grant Hill, those boys deserve a championship. Go suns from here on out, no more rings to further inflate Phil Jackson's baggery.

Congratulations to the Suns! You guys were just unstoppable. I'm disappointed but if there's a guy I didn't mind losing to, it's Steve Nash and Grant Hill, ALL CLASS. Good luck going forward and I'll be rooting hard for you guys when you meet L.A.

    Congrats Suns,

as painful as it was to see the spurs lose, especially with our big three intact--there was no question the suns were the better team...

    I think this loss will be less painful because there are really no questions to ask;

    no head scratching

no what-if this or what-if that

no refs ing us ---or you

just one team better than the other and it is time to remake this team

please don't bend over for the lakers----don't lose your swagger as soon as the refs you over in the first two games in L.A.---AND BELIEVE ME---THEY WILL

just keep fighting and impose your will and beat them

Spurstalk forum and it's fans are some of the best and most knowledgable when it comes to talking b-ball. Very impressed with the never say die at ude by the spurs, especially in the closing seconds of this game. It is nice for the Suns and quite an accomplishment for the organization to be able to finally win a series against what has been one of the best organizations over the past 11 years. True Suns fans despise anything Lakers and would love nothing better that to knock these guys off their pedastal and kick their ass. Were definitely the underdog but anything is possible.

Congrats to Grant Hill- one of my favorite NBA people ever.

So happy for Goran who kept working hard when everyone was doubting him.

When July 1 rolls around, I just might have to change my team to the Suns if Rasho signs in Europe.

not outclassed...they just wanted it more....suns and all they represent are far from class....
Do people have any idea how ridiculous they sound when they say stuff like this? Do you have any evidence whatsoever that Suns fans as a whole are any less classy than Spurs fans, Kings fans, or 76ers fans?

Big props to the Suns! They played with heart, intensity and desire throughout. A deep bench doesn't hurt either.

I never make it a habit of rooting for the team that beats the Spurs, but I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way. Hopefully Lopez will return and give them more size against the Fakers.

Well done to the Suns and good luck in the next round.

As a lifelong Suns fan, I appreciate the props for my team and for all the classy posts in this thread (and forum). Much respect to your team, they didn't give up, even in the final minute of the 4th quarter...Suns will need that die-hard determination in the next round against the Fakers.
