And it would take a lot more than $20K to buy SpursTalk. We turned down over $100K in the past.
I have to log on and interject. As a web finance accounts manager, I have to tell you that forums such as this one are very come and go. Traffic and fiscal value can correlate directly from wins/losses. Therefor, losing consequently diminishes this sites value in the long run. I understand an emotional commitment to a project that is yours. However, logically you might see it as the stock market and try to sell high. This Spurs team is on the way down and could remain down like many other small markets in the NBA.

That all might be true. However, unless someone was offering significantly more than that. It's not worth selling to us.
Now this website isnt the end all of website value nor does it take into account every single factor. But it gives a baseline value range. Values it close to 50k. Making 6 figures generous.

Those daily page views are off - way, way off.
I understand that. If you can afford not to get maximum value out of something you care about. Then don't. It may hold more value to you in keeping it than it does in cold hard currency.
We have been getting offers for SpursTalk every month for the last five years. We just read them and laugh, and say No Thanks.

It's probably not the only reason, but many ads providers also demands certain things, like most notably for ST a stronger moderation of swearing and similar.

ST got really big traffic and being liberal makes this traffic. If they want to take it from ST than it's might not be worthy for both sides. But dang all in all traffic is traffic. Why not just take it as it is?
