You're gay.
I am content.
I am content knowing that I am proud of the foundation David Robinson laid in San Antonio, the city of my birth. I'm glad that we as fans have experienced a long 20 yrs of constant contention for the trophy, to have won 4 championships, to experience family gatherings, church gatherings around a grill a tv, a remote, and some great friends. To see the Stephen jackson's of the world come here and leave transformed into something noble.
A trait that is found in few companies, corporations, and clubs. A trait that no doubt emenated from the Admiral and his faith, his demeanor, his respect for that which is beyond the game, which has been passed down to Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobilli; being atheist, still personify that strong faith in their abilities that allowed for no fear, allowing a small franchise to earn 4 trophies in a short span.
All through this series i felt peace and tranquility even through the droughts, the despair, and dissapointment because i knew we have a date with destiny. Notice how the last great big was Tim Duncan, and that there hasn't been any like him for the past 13 yrs? Notice how all these up and coming Centers and PF's couldn't carry a team to 55 + wins, win a scoring le and MVP like Robinson, and Duncan (minus the scoring le).
Looking at Dwight Howard, and seeing the same people who hated on Robinson for no other reason because of style, at the same time, cheering for a Pyrite phenom when we had the Gold version. It sickens me to no end.
I look now at George Hill, Parker, and Blair falling short and i see a little of the Admiral in them in their loss. I have a feeling if we hold tight, they will get their 7 footer in 4-5 yrs to come and bring a new era. It seems like we've been dominant at the right time and when we finally fall, it will again be the era of Big men. It just makes so much sense.
So am I mad, depressed, and angry? No way! This is just another year being a Spur fan. We are seeing the end of an era, and all through this pheonix series I felt that we will follow with a new chapter. I can't see the spurs being the La Clippers, the Mavs of the 90's, or the Rockets. We are doing things right, and embedding a corporate character of humility and endurance. Again, something that the Admiral had a lot to do with.
If you were to look at Houston, what did he leave that franchise with? Nothing but the two les he earned. That organization is still trying to find it's iden y and star. Hakeem, being a great man might have won the battle, but he lost the war. I will never regret having David Robinson as our franchise player. With the free agent news of Dirk, i don't see him leaving Dallas with anything close to the admiral. Yes, it's damn good to be a spur.
and oh yeah. No love for LA.
LA!
that "fatties" gif really creeps me out.
i just can't understan why Timvp and Kori let people have sigs like the second poster has. This forum is so great, and those sigs really don't bring anything here.
LOL, i'm not the one with a topless 12 yr old boy dancing in my sig.![]()
