but if instead of parker to toronto, how would RJ, hill and blair (or a first rounder ) work?
for the raptors they can get 2 younger players cheap and then take on an expiring contract for next year. future cap space and a couple of young, cheap players could be okay for a team that may just wind up with nothing in return.

I wouldn't give up Hill AND Blair. Especially for a guy like Bosh.

I believe that any sign and trade deals with the Raptors would have to include Splitter's rights.
Of course you do this if you are the spurs. If you can get Bosh w/o giving up one of the big 3, you do it. I rip on Bosh, but he is far better than the players involved in this deal. Not to mention he fits well in theory w Tim.
Oh, its cool. Go ahead and trade away the two biggest pieces for the Spurs future. Even if it was for Bosh, I wouldn't do it.
I understand player loyalty and wanting the Spurs to develop young talent, but you are flat out crazy if you wouldn't trade Hill and Blair for Bosh right now.
I think Hill and Blair have potential to be really good, but that's all it is right now, potential. Bosh is proven. A front line of TD and Bosh would be unbelievable.
How does Bosh solve any defensive problems?

How does Blair? Blair is good for a 2nd round pick, don't get me wrong. But it would be a mistake to build a defense around him and deem him the "centerpiece."
Bosh is a proven 20/10 guy and is only 26 years old; he's about to enter his prime years. TD and Manu have a few good years left, and I would prefer the Spurs surround him with proven talent, not potential. We have to win now, not 3 or 4 years down the line.
Bosh is a franchise caliber player who is about to enter his prime. Hill and Blair are not.
You want to trade guys making around $1 million each for a prima donna who has defensive stats like this:

Bosh is good but he's not a leader and plays no defense. While I would love to shed RJ's contract, giving up any future to get one guy is stupid.
Unless Blair develops an outside shot that allows him to play some SF his future will remain in a reserve or limited minute role.

Maybe our draft pick. People seem pretty high on Gee as well. There's still a lot of time until the season starts ( there's a lot of time before the FA period begins) so who knows. I doubt we see any movement on RJ any time soon.
As far as my eyes saw this past post season, Hill's defense is vastly OVERRATED. Again, he has potential, but as he is right now, he's no where near an elite level defender. It's silly to suggest that he is. He could be, but he's not right now.
Yes, Hill is only 24 and it's just his 2nd year in the league. But there's no way in I'd stake championship aspirations on Hill's potential over Bosh's proven record.
And if we're speaking on potential, because that's all anyone can really make a case for when it comes to Hill; do people think Bosh, who has just turned 26, has no room for improvement? If we're speaking of potential, does Bosh have absolutely zero room to improve as a defender?
Let me get this straight, a 24 year-old 2nd year player has potential, but a 26 year-old gold medal Olympian and All Star has none?

The key word is "some" it is the only way he will be able to stay on the floor when the other team goes big and tries to post Blair up.
Blair can't guard SFs.
Hill has shown more defensive potential in his 2 years than Bosh has in his 7 years. You're also mortgaging the bench to have a starting lineup that has no post defense. As we saw this year, having no bench presents a problem, no matter how good your starters are. But no, let's trade everyone for Bosh cuz he's such a great winner.
