I didn't think conan would be all that funny
It was awesome.
Had this intro act reggie watts who was crazy. He had this whole beat box / singing bit where he did crazy realisitc beatboxing, put them on a loop and added to the loop to make entire songs. Funny songs.
Conan comes on and starts out with an intro video of him fat and bloaded with pizza crumbs over him all depressed. Vintage Conan.
Basically does somewhat of a standup routine that is pretty funny. It's almost like one continuous monologue of him but without current events and politics. Never seen him like this at length. Also cool to see him not worry about tv censorship. He dropped one "F" bomb. So weird hearing it. Does alot of bits with the screen and busts out his guitar to do songs with his band throughout. Comes out during one song with the purple leather suit that Eddie Murphy wore on "Raw" He looks ridiculous in it.
Andy was there to help him out the second half of the show.
They bought the giant blow-up bat from Meatloaf's "Straight outta " tour and blew it up. It looked ridiculous. lol so cheesy
Jimmy Vaughn made a guest appearance (whwhwhaahaaaaat) played three straight songs, it was in sweet.
Triumph made an appearance on screen.
Then they close it out with the chuck-norris lever, Dirk came out and pulled it the final time. LOL Haley Joel Osment saying Walker told him he has AIDS. priceless.
Well worth it. Conan's ing hilarious.
Catch this if you can.
Tshirts were too expensive though, 30 bucks wtf? come on coco

its still different watching him do a live show compared to a late night talk show
i'd say like 50% of the show was musical
whotttt????
since when did cbf become vip???
It was his live "legally prohibited from being funny on tv" tour
The old lady and I are going to Austin tonight to check it out.
Reggie Watts is cool.
Sounds cool. Hope he comes to Portland.
Why can't he just stay home and chill with his wife buying stupid with his 30 mil
www.reggiewatts.com
this guy is crazy, and more interesting than flat out funny, but definitely worth checking otu
because the other people on his staff weren't making money
PLUS why stop at $30 mil?
I didn't find a thing that dude said funny but it was entertaining and the creativity level of his act was high.
I laughed out loud a few times here and there but I can get where you're coming from.
How did yall like the real show though?
I thought it was great. Some of the songs Conan did were kinda lame but the Self Pleasuring Panda and the Chuck Norris clips were great. That stand up that he had come out was really funny. In all it was a great show.
He kind of started losing the dallas crowd when Jimmy Vaughn played three songs in a row, most people were like ehhhhh wtf is this but I enjoyed it.
Did he have any guest stars for the one you went to?
Some dude that played guitar and sang rockabilly type . I forget the name but all the s in Austin were digging it. I didn't care much for it.
One of his shows is on youtube- probably others as well, but worth checking out if you're like me an unable to see the show live...
Here's one of the pics I took from the show. He got a huge pop when he came out in a Longhorns jersey.
