Well, John Wall is officially pissed. Not hard to read his body language in that interview. Dude thought he was going to New Jersey with LeBron James.
I completely agree. I love his game, but he just seems like a whiner. Or the potential to pull a Michael Beasley

I was speaking more about his game than his at ude. I question some things about his work ethic and at ude, and I know he put up phenomenal college numbers, but he is not very athletic and does not have the Al Jefferson type post moves to make up for it.
All we need is a little good luck in the health department and we will dominate the West for the next 8 years.
So what will the Wizards do with Arenas now that they have Wall?
What can they do? They are absolutely stuck with Arenas.
If you don't think this thing is fixed, you're flat out naive. The Nets dropping, I'll admit, I have no explanation for. The Timberwolves, Kings and Warriors? Predictable. Small market teams that the league doesn't care about in the case of the former two and the latter one, they do well even though they're a joke, so what's the incentive to give them a major prospect? There isn't one. Who moved up? Struggling, going nowhere, big market teams, the Wizards and the 76ers.
Just like the Magic inexplicably won the lottery two years in a row and three times in their short history and all with major prospects available at the top. Why? Because they're a market the league cares about. Just like the Bulls winning the lottery despite the fact that there chance of doing so was extremely low; didn't matter. There was a local phenom, they were mired in a decade of mediocrity, so conveniently they won it. Just like the Bucks and Raptors, two small market teams that the league doesn't care about, conveniently won the lottery the two years that there wasn't a franchise player/superstar in the making to be had with the 1st pick.
This is all crafted. They're not stupid, so if the Knicks are in the 6-8 range, they'll never give them the 1st pick. Why? They don't need to, because it would be too obvious and because they do well enough as is.
With or without this pick they wanted to get rid of him. Unfortunately for them NOBODY is taking his contract or his issues.
You realize you owned yourself with this section don't you? Orlando is a small market dip . At least know what you are talking about or do some research if you are going to post some half baked conspiracy theory.
do spurs have at least a 3rd round pick they do pretty good picking nobodies
What are you trying to say? He is right about Stern. He has the whole NBA played out to the exact science. What David Stern wants, David Stern gets.

Look they are the same as San Antonio. I guess that means the Spurs are a big market team too.![]()
I never said they weren't re , learn to ing read if you're going to call someone out. The reality is Orlando has always been a market that the league has cared about. Anyone who's followed the league would know that.
Who knows? Perhaps LeBrick will now consider the Wizards among his list of possible destinations.
Grunfeld: No. 1 pick has no bearing on Arenas
Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld says winning the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft does not affect the team’s plans for Gilbert Arenas.
Arenas is a three-time All-Star guard who was suspended most of this season by the league after bringing guns into Washington’s locker room. He has four years left on his Wizards contract.
In a conference call with reporters after winning Tuesday’s draft lottery, Grunfeld said: “Gilbert is still with us. He’s been down at our gym, working out and getting ready. The more good players you have, the better.”
The two players considered likeliest to go first in the draft are guards: Kentucky’s John Wall and Ohio State’s Evan Turner. Grunfeld used the word “outstanding” to describe both Tuesday.
Being a Nets fan, I have to say you could be right. The number 3 pick can actually turn out to be good for Nets looking for past drafts and players. So nothing wrong with it at all![]()
So in other words you say the league fixes the lottery for large market teams and when the facts don't back up what you say your explanation is "oh well the league just cares about that market".VERY convincing argument. You have obviously put a lot of objective thought into this. Gray spur fan never fails to disappoint with their brilliance.
That's not what I said. Again, if you're going to call me out, either directly quote me or at least get the gist of what I'm saying; don't just make things up.
If you've closely followed the league for any length of time, you'll know that there's certain markets they care about and others that they don't.
You're just a Lakers fan, so when you heard of something like this you automatically took offense. Get over it.
actually George Steinbrenner is the best and most badass, his team knows how to spend and win![]()
Can't Mikaelov just buy the pick from the Wizards for an insane amount of money?
No amount of money will buy the number 1 pick. It would take getting rid of a terrible contract and some talent.
I already have directly quoted you and unlike you have brought actual facts to the argument which you can not dispute. It's also extremely ironic that you would say I have something to get over. Am I the one posting conspiracy theories that I can't even back up with facts? It looks to me that you are the one who has something to get over son.
I never claimed to have factual evidence; just common sense and knowledge of the league, two things you obviously lack. Or, your affinity for the Lakers is clouding your judgment on this.
There's no way this could be backed up with facts, unless the league blew it and let the cat out of the bag. But, that doesn't mean they don't rig it. And you know what? I get it. Clearly no one can track what they do and on top of that, when you're dealing with major assets like top prospects, it's best to have them in a market that you think is most beneficial for the league. Right now, they need to get Philadelphia and Washington going again.
