This is a serious question. Idk how many comments I've read about how Phoenix shot extremely well against the Spurs and now that their hot shooting isn't continuing that's why they got creamed by LA. Lets look at the numbers you guys seem too stupid to figure out on your own.
The Suns made a total of 156 field goals against the Spurs
The Suns attempted a total of 324 field goals against the Spurs
Maybe your fingers are too fat to operate a calculator correctly, so it's lets note 156/324 = .481, which is equivalent to 48.1%.
Against LA on Monday, Phoenix shot 49.4%. I figured the way you guys constantly point out 4 is a greater number than 0 you would know 49.4 is a greater number than 48.1, but just in case, I'll say it: 49.4 is a greater number than 48.1. In other words, Phoenix actually shot better against LA on Monday than they did against SA over the 4 games. There are plenty of reasons why Phoenix beat SA and won't beat LA, this myth about hot shooting Spurfan is using to make excuses for losing isn't one of them.

Spurs fans just get butthurt and make up excuses like saying the Suns play was an abberation. Suns dominated the spurs and were a better team. nuff said
For the sake of the argument, can you dig up the TS% stat and compare that?
Example: 4-10 from 3 > 5-10 from 2.
it's almost as bad as lakaluva and reading comprehension![]()
Spur fan can't accept that fact that it wasn't that the suns just "got lucky", it's that when you have bonner playing significant minutes on your team, you're gonna get owned.
This is basically what they're saying:
The fact Odom is capable of defending Frye way better than Bonner is irrelevant. Frye making wide open 3's Bonner was too slow to contest was a fluke that would only happen against the Spurs!
Spur Fan is just lucky that Dallas is Dallas. They never should have had the privilege of getting their pushed in by PHX. They were a ty 7th seed that managed to beat a superior team prone to choking. Having an asshole moron of a coach didn't help things.
TS for the respective series so far:
PHX TS%
Game 1: 605
Game 2: 575
Game 3: 636
Game 4: 573
Game 1 of the WCF: 575
Sup Findog.
So with a TS% as low as or lower than game 1, the Suns still managed to beat the Spurs in both games. Yep, the Spurs just got unlucky.
Spurs didn't get unlucky. Only butthurt Spurs fans spin that bull .
Their defense was fine in that series. But with Manu, Hill, and Duncan playing below average, they just couldn't manufacture enough offense like they could in the past.
Back then, even when the Spurs were a top defensive team, they would still give up 110-115 to the Suns, but score 120-125 themselves.

Son you don't need math to prove your point, it's pretty simple actually. Spurs/Suns game 1. Suns had 102 points, Suns/Lakers game 1 suns had 102 points. The Lakers just didn't miss layups or wide open 3 pointers like the Spurs did against that vaunted Suns defense
>implying that most Spurs fans here aren't bandwagoners who have probably never been to San Antonio
I agree, 4 wins is greater than 0 wins.
> 0
Damnit, you beat me to it.
Are you from California? I hope so.
Texas >>>>>>>>>> California
But, when Dragic goes off for 23 in the 4th against LA, then I'll be happy. Oh and when your bench lights it up from 3 point land that'd be nice too.
Thanks
texas education oh wait cali's books are chosen based on what books Texas chooses. Also
public education anywhere, my parents loved me enough to send me to private school
Timely 3pt shots by the Suns after missed Spur FT. That was the case the whole series.
Spurs up by 15, miss two free throws and the Suns hit a 3. 12pt game.
Spurs miss two more free throws Pheonix hits a 3. 9pt game.
Spurs miss a shot, Phoenix hits a jumper. 7 pt game.
Spurs hit 1 of 2 FT, Phoenix hits a 3, 5 pt game.
Spurs miss a shot, Phoenix gets 3 offensive rebounds and hits a 3.
Saw that happen on several occasions. Spurs ed themselves really. Incompetence at the free throw line on the defensive glass, and feeling sorry for themselves because they couldn't hit free throws caused ty defense.
Phoenix hit their open 3's vs the Spurs. Against the Lakers didn't make nearly as many open 3's.
Phoenix shot 46% from three against San Antonio's 35%. Phoenix shot 22% from 3 against LA's 47%. Is that enough math for you SANDinVAGINA? Talk about being butthurt. Two threads about the Spurs in the NBA Forum?
Spurs sucked in many ways, allowing high fg% included. they lacked the defense and offense in that series.
rarely ever will a team lose when they shoot that high, though, unless you get the ty defense that Amare played... if he can manage to not let Odom look like an all-star, the game is within reach. Odom is the x-factor.
Who is defending the Spurs? They sucked ass.
Playing the Mavs in the first round took its toll on the Spurs. They came out flat against PHX and really i mean really bent over for PHX.
The Spurs won 4 out of the 5 closely contested games against Dallas, and lost 3 out 3 closely contested games against PHX.
