    1. I wonder if drafting a PG high in this league is no longer a smart thing.. Look at last years draft
    2. Tyreke Evans - Rookie of the year, numbers only matched by Jordan/Robertson/Lebron
    3. Johnny Flynn- Looks to be a solid PG, not an all star but good enough to win with
    4. Steph Curry- Numbers almost as good as Evans, just averages 3 pts less a game
    5. Brandon Jennings- Franchise level PG, potential All Star
    6. Jrue Holiday- Youngest player in the league, potential All Star in the future being compared to guys like Chauncey Billups and at worst Derek Fisher
    7. Ty Lawson- Steal at 18th J
    8. eff Teague- Don't know much about him, looks like the first bust of the 09 PGs
    9. Eric Maynor- Limited minutes behind Russell Westbrook but a great backup and probably can start for another team
    10. Darren Collison- Averaged 19pts and 9 assists replacing Chris Paul, looks like a perennial All Star in the making
    11. Rodrigue Beaubois- We saw first hand how good this French kid is

Which means 10 PG's in the first round of the draft, 8 of whom are good enough to start...9 if you count Maynor. 5 or 6 who can be All Star level PG's for a long time 2008 you had Derek Rose, Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, George Hill..

All those kids in addition to the "old guard" with Steve Nash Chris Paul Deron Williams Rajon Rondo Jameer Nelson Chauncey Tony Parker Jason Kidd

Seems like a plethora of PG's....

Kidd and Billups are halfway in the grave, and we're all wondering when Nash will join them. Of the young players you listed, only Evans, Curry, and Jennings are truly solid players; the others may improve, of course, but they're not championship-team contributors at this point.

He isn't an All Star or anything but he is a serviceable PG who made some good improvements in Rambis' tough system.

PG- easiest position????? no! Too much running around and thinking. You have to be cardiovascular fit like a soccer player. IMHO, I think the easiest position is the SF. Just camp out at the 3 point line and wait for your turn to either drive or shoot when the defense collapses on the guard penetration or your big men drawing double teams.

Nash is still putting up the numbers, I don't think you could say the Suns have a need at PG with him

    As to the others..

As rookies they are not yet ready to be championship caliber PGs but guys like Holiday, Collison, Beaubois all made a big impact on the games they played.

Lawson split time with Billups but he and Maynor are good backups with potential to start

New ing rules...you not even need a solid jumper or three to become a "star pg" in the NBA.

    Rondo
    Harris
    Rose
    (Evans)

Putting up nice numbers as a PG is easy. You got the ball in your hands all the time so naturally you're going to make some plays unless you're completely incompetent.

Actually running a team as a true PG should is another story altogether.

Point Guard isn't the easiest position, but it may be the least important. If the Lakers can win a le with Derek Fisher at PG that much is obvious.
