This lays it all out in plain English for everyone to understand.

    http://www.businessweek.com/news/201...-soshnick.html

Yet hibernating for the duration of the National Basketball Association playoffs would be a missed opportunity for James, who, no matter which uniform Cleveland’s coveted free agent chooses next season, ought to fixate on Kobe Bryant. Any athlete still learning what it takes to win it all can take away something from watching the sporting world’s most cold and calculating killer.

Get a ticket; sit in the stands and watch. Study Bryant. Just Bryant. Every possession. Every time out. Every interview. Every stare, scowl, glare and grin. Every clenched jaw.

    Four quarters. One man

Bryant doesn’t care about being liked. He only cares about the scoreboard. So did Jordan, who once punched teammate Steve Kerr in the face during practice.

What James must understand is that winning is a learning process.
It will be difficult emotionally, but James’s summer school should really include Kobe 101.

Bring it on. Looking forward to this one if it happens. The Celtics will find out just how improved the Lakers defense is now vs 2 years ago.

Kobe Bryant defended by Sefolosha or Kobe Bryant playing the 2 worst defensive teams in the playoffs?

LeBron would average 40/10/10 if playing this kind of defenseless teams in the playoffs.

    2 worst what?

Jazz were better defensively than Denver, Dallas, Portland, Atlanta, and Phoenix.

And as for your LeBron fantasy:

vs. PHX 12/2/09 he went for 12/10/8
    @ PHX 12/21/09 he went for 29/4/6

Somehow I don't see him doubling his averages.

Jazz weren't better defensively than all those teams, not without Okur, post Brewer trade and with Kirilenko coming off injury. Better than Denver and, once again, Phoenix.

Two regular season blowouts aren't a proper sample.

The hypocrisy is the worst part TBH..these are the same people that said that Kobe was the best player in the NBA in 2005/2006 and 2006/2007, ignoring the same criteria they're currently using against James..do I have to pull the quotes out?..

James is still the best player in the league. There's no denying that.

The way Boston is dominating Orlando shows that they were just simply the better team than the Cavs. James had a good series outside Game 5. He wasn't great or transcendent, but let's try giving the Celtics credit instead of predictably focusing on James.

Now if Kobe leads the Lakers past Boston by putting up solid numbers, then I recant. But until proven otherwise, James is still the top talent in the NBA.

As for 06-07. Kobe was probably the best player in the league with Dirk, Duncan, and James nipping at his heels.
