A couple of songs by Ladytron.

Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In by The 5th Dimension...the beginning is pretty gay, but the second half of the song has some of the most amazing bass playing I've ever heard. It's solid but not too busy.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper...great pop song. The Killers do a good cover of it. But they've only ever done it live, wouldn't mind them doing a studio version.

Just like you I hate Aquarius, but love Let The Sunshine In. It's a good song.

Exactly. There are songs/groups I briefly regretted admitting liking b/c of the grief I got for it.
