The story needs mother ing closure. Either Dirk never gets that championship or gets a ring to compliment his 2006 "ghost ring", but it must be in Dallas either way. Bolting and ring chasing with another franchise is a ty ending to a sad story.

From what i've read, he might sign for the max, possible with a no-trade-clause, but limited at 35% of the teams cap to start the new contract. So in essence he starts (depending on the salary cap line next season) a little lower, $ 19 Mil or so.
