hey Flo, how do I get out of jury duty without upsetting the judge and getting tossed in jail or fined...the suggestions are: I believe in the death penalty.... he just looks guilty....get a rope.... call in a threat of some sort...or pull the fire alarm....

I got called like two months ago. The defense didn't want me once I told them I was a cop. Well I'm guessing thats why I got dismissed from that one trial. Do they have the movies playing in the waiting area?
No they don't play movies, but there is wi fi...do you fill out a mini questionaire that comes with the summons? Our has one..asks what your profession is and such...I'm thinking that since I'm a Paramedic, I have an 75% chance on not getting picked...
And where the is everyone else??? This used to be the place for all to hang out...
I am pretty sure the questionaire didn't ask what my profession was though. It was funny because one of the guys who was in the waiting area with me was a city prosecutor. lol It sucked because everytime they would have a movie on and it started getting to the good parts a judge would summon us to a court room. It is still an all day thing whether or not you get called for the selection process.
I am not sure where everyone is. A few people still post here. Its just hard catching everyone on at the same time.
I managed to not get picked...we were released @ 3:15 pm...I think being a Paramedic helps keep me from getting picked. I am sure I will get picked one day because of what I do...
My last jury duty I was called at like 12:15, like second go around for a mental competency hearing thing. Prosecution wanted to pick me because I was such a smart ass, but they recessed and retested the guy and found that he was too low functioning. So I left at like 2. It was genius.
