Id like to advise that the list should be based strictly on postseason performance(s). Im curious to see how playoffs normally changes peoples perception on a players value.

    1. Lebron

The KING imo is still # 1. No matter what people say about his performance, he's still the undisputed best player in the league. I dare anyone to find a better statline than Lebron's supposedly "tanked" series. He was injured and the Celtics were just the better team, plain and simple.

    2.Rondo

Without Rondo's all around versatility and commanding presence on both ends, we would be watching a Cavaliers-Magic series right now. Rondo's ability to run the offense and punish the defense by constantly attacking the basket at ease has convinced me enough that he is Boston's MVP right now. If they win a le, expect Rajon to hold that Finals MVP trophy.

    3. Pau Gasol

Pau has been underrated eversince he became a Laker. He is their best defender, best rebounder and most efficient player up to this point. Their offense is impeccable when he's on the floor and their defensive weakness is masked when he takes stage. Because of Gasol, Laker bigs Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum are allowed to have an off night and the Lakers could still win the game.

    4. KG

KG with one leg is still by far the most valuable big man in the playoffs not named Gasol. If Rondo is the Celtics best player, KG is the heart and the soul that fuels Boston's success. Because of KG, both Jamison and Shard Lewis were

    5. Kobe

He's been pretty good so far, averaging 30 points on very good percentage for the last 7 games but im always reluctant to value his contributions in the playoffs. Why you might ask? Well, Kobe has always folded in the biggest stage. Out of 6 NBA finals trips, he only had one successful series (last year). Evidently, look at his statistical numbers against WCF opponents (28.9 ppg 47% FG), pretty dominant huh? But look at his Finals effort (24.6 ppg 41% FG) not too impressed. But we'll see if he can finally crack a "Superstar" type of NBA Final series this time around.

    6. Dirk

Laugh all you want, but the Mavericks and its misfortunes this year had nothing to do with Nowiztki. He's still a solid performer when it matters. I admire his clutch play and his passion for the game, carlisle and his teammates deserves all the blame in Dallas.

I'm gonna tell you something, and you ain't gonna like it:::the sooner the Mavs cut ties with Nowitski the sooner they'll be able to move on and pursue their objective. He's a loser, people, and you know what else? He knows it.

So you make a thread for "this" post season's best performers and Kobe is the only player you evaluate based on previous post seasons?

Your Kobe obsession is flat out strange.

I'm ok with that list as it stands... mostly. KG has been important, and has played well these past two series, but Ray Allen has been performing great as well. I'd bump KG down to 6. I'd also bump Dwight down to 9, as he was plagued with foul trouble during the Bobcats series and has been up and down during the Celtics series.

Kobe probably jumped up a spot or 2 with his recent play.
