I'm not real crazy about "pretty sure" Dazed. Can you perhaps be a little more definite, youngster?
If you know anything about this current Laker team it's that they have a propensity for not putting forth their maximal effort until their backs are against the wall (i.e. until they have to). I suspect we will see a much different team for Game 5.
In the end, the zone is a gimmick defense. Patient teams will always be able to pick it apart and convert high percentage looks. The Lakers had no trouble scoring, it was their defense that let them down.
I predict in Game 5 the whistles will magically start going in LA's favor and they will be able to play much more aggressive defense against the Suns. Meanwhile, the Suns will get called for a lot of ticky tack fouls causing guys like Lopez and even Amare to be less effective.
If you've watched enough games you can predict the ebb and flow of a series. Trust me, this one is probably going the full 7 games. And the Lakers won't come close to losing anymore home games.
The Suns have shown why they got this far, their high powered offense is really quite deadly and damn near impossible to stop on when they are firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately for them their defense is not good enough to stop LA and they don't have HCA.

Wanna bet $500 on game 5?
Yeah, maybe you're right and the officiating will help LA to be a dominant team in this series from now on. They've already lucked into bad refereeing decisions in their favour in game 2, so we'll need to see what happens.
Uh, the silence is deafening.
tee, hee.
DoK might just so he can report you to the IRS for not reporting it as income.
If the Suns don't win game 5 in LA, than it's over for Phoenix. In order to beat the Lakers in this series you have to win a game in LA, so if Phoenix can win game 5 they at least give themselves a shot to knockoff the Lakers in game 6, that is the only way this Suns team has a shot. If they lose game 5 and win game 6, LA will probably win game 7.
So the Utah series was an aberration?
The game box score is deceiving. It's skewed by Kobe's crazy offensive night. The Lakers shot 33% against the zone in the second half.In the end, the zone is a gimmick defense. Patient teams will always be able to pick it apart and convert high percentage looks. The Lakers had no trouble scoring, it was their defense that let them down.
The Lakers haven't been patient against the zone. That's the problem.
Lakers aren't a good shooting team compared to Phoenix or Orlando. It seems they need Odom to play well to win and he's not effective against a zone.
It's a best-2-of-3 series now, Laker fookers. We ain't losing Game 6 in our house. So you boys best win one of games 5 or 7, else you're going fishin'. Worried yet?
Lakers have home court. End of series in 6 or 7.
....does watery bowels count as worried? I got the f'in squirts over this.
Going 6 thats it. If there's anything the Lakers have shown this season, Its that they always make statement games at home, plays lackadaisical on the road and then enforces their will for the next 2 games to close out a series. Very similar to the OKC series.
Everytime this Laker teams flaws have been exposed they get the "effort" or "coasting" pass.
No, they're a flawed team this year, on the offensive end especially.
I think they'll win this series anyway, but Boston gonna skull that ass... and they don't need no zone to do it.
Im pretty sure Dazed and Confused is a complete tool.
I'll bet $500 that you're a flaming got.
lol wearing polos to work out
I'm not the only person who's noticed middle eastern people do this.
Wearing flip flops to work out is def alot gayer.
Well played, sir.
Lakers better win Game 5. They don't want to go to Phoenix for game 6 down 3-2. This Suns team doesn't miss when they're confident.
& Amare ain't quittin'.
