Richardson couldn't have made it more easier for him, as he was transfixed on Kobe's shot rather than paying attention to Artest dashing into the lane.
The playoffs do separate the wheat from the chaff, and I think although Richardson's made some huge contributions this year, that play showed what he's really made of.
And it's yet another example of how important the mental aspect of the game is...lose your focus for a second and it's all over.
