LA Lakers vs Phoenix Suns Game 6 NBA Playoffs 2010 Picks & Predictions: In Game 5, (3-2) Los Angeles Lakers [+1½] defensive specialist, Ron Artest went from being chastised for taking an ill-advised shot late in the fourth quarter to being the hero of the game by putting in a layup as time expired. According to NBA Playoffs 2010 Picks & Predictions specialists at BETUS.com, the OVER/UNDER for Game 6 of the Lakers vs Suns is set at a combined total of 216½ points scored.
“It was a great moment for him, for our team,” the Lakers' Derek Fisher said. “Ron has really sacrificed a lot for our team. He's a big part of our team. A lot of things he does go unnoticed on the stat sheet, but he's committed to doing one thing, and that's helping us win.”
With their backs against the wall, the (2-3) Phoenix Suns [-1½] will have to win two straight games in order to earn a date with the Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics in this year’s 2010 NBA Finals. Game 6 of this best-of-seven series is set to get underway tonight at 8:30 PM ET from U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ, and it will be broadcasted live on TNT Sports.
For the Suns, they have ran their mouths and have motivated the Lakers to play better throughout this series. Well, you can add another bulletin material statement from the underdogs. However, this one comes from an unlikely source, as Suns’ point-guard Steve Nash is the one doing the talking.
“I just said we're going home and win Game 6 and come back in Game 7,” Nash said after practice on Friday. “Take it how you want to take it.”
But Nash’s guarantee is sure to make it on the Lakers’ locker room, as the hero of Game 5 addressed those very same comments. According to the man from Queensbridge, the Suns better get ready for the Black Mamba come Saturday.
“That's like no respect for us. There's no respect. That's how it's been for a long time this season. I'm sure we'll talk about it,” Artest said. “Coaches have no respect for the Lakers at all. They have no respect for me. The players don't respect - a lot of the guys don't respect. ... I'm sure Kobe heard that (what Nash said), and I'm sure he'll do his part tomorrow.”
For me, I think tonight’s game is more telling for the Lakers than the Suns. I think that if Los Angeles is to ready to win back-to-back les, it will close this series out tonight. As we have seen over the past two years, the Lakers have proven to be able to close out teams on the road. They did it against the Nuggets in last year’s conference Finals and again in the NBA Finals in Orlando, FL.
“We don't plan on going to Phoenix and losing three times on their home court,” Lakers head coach Phil Jackson said. “We're not making this trip over there just to fill a date. We're going over there to win a game. We're highly motivated for this game, but we understand that if it has to go seven, we're damn well ready to come back home and defend our home court again. This is a series that has taken a lot of different faces to it in the course of these five games, and we don't expect Game 6 to be any different.”

Win or lose the Sun's Gentry is an impressive coach - I like his demeanor and intellect.
Though he'll never have the sack to run a zone Vs. Boston if the unthinkable happens.
