You support Algeria?
I wouldn't be too worried if England play like they did today, ing pathetic.
Shiiiit
Our 2nd game of the WC will be against those guys
We better win our 1st game vs Slovenia, which will be difficult
I am very nervous![]()

Well, I'm Algerian, so yes.
England will play much better in SA, Capello is one of the best
I still have may doubts. Lamps has never really performed well for country. PLUS that Rio/Terry backline is far from solid these days. Rio hardly played for united this season.
I think the US would be satisfied with a draw though. 1-1 is my scoreline. If Algeria ties against slovenia, I think they are all but out.
Time will tell
Anything can happen on the field; after all, we did beat West Germany in the 82 WC
We can all agree that time isnt coming fast enough!
Oh yeah serbia tied poland today 0-0
Thats not a way to go far in the world cup.
Mexico just dominated Italyfor the most part
I am actually some what excited our bitter rivals just beat Italy. (I know I know warm ups mean nothing)
I take it for what it's worth.... although they seem cold, the Italians were never in this game with the exception of a couple of minutes into the match, and the corner kick.
Mexico looked great, their speed and passing was too much for Italy.
Chicharito was trying too hard.. he could've scored at least twice in this game.
I haven't seen any recent games with the exception of this one, cause of work... but overall I feel a lot better about this team after this win.
One of Mexico's flaws in recent World Cups has been that they respect their opponents too much, almost like fear, or they always seemed that they didn't belong in the same field... this team doesn't show any signs of that, and that's a great sign.
Finally something to get excited about! Mexico! Mexico! Mexico!!!
I forgot they played.
And I agree, Sense. I always got that feeling.
Luckily for us, as years go by more and more Mexicans play in Europe, so they're feeling more and more comfortable.
Yes Mexicos biggest problem was confidence in the big spot. They had the ability to go further but they always lacked the mental edge.
I expect Mexico to win its group this time.
Mexico's biggest problem is defending Set pieces. If they don't get that fixed soon they won't make it far. Most of the goals scored on Mex. during friendlys were off set pieces.
And their strikers also need to find the finishing touch (im looking at you Chicharito and Vela) How many times have they missed right in front of the keeper? You can't miss easy opportunities like that in the world cup. Hopefully they get their together by June 11.
Oh and France just lost to China![]()
I think I will tune in to the world cup this year. Never watched it before.
You've been missing out man..
LOL USA
Rooney is gonna make Howard his![]()
US needs to get their defense together on their end, especially on corners and free kicks. I have a feeling to advance they'll need some bad ass striker and midfield play to keep putting goals up. Not liking the chances of that happening.
Best sporting event by far. Nothing even compares.
What I don't get is how people hate on US Soccer? They are clearly a top 15 team in the world. Now, I understand the gap between the number 15 team and the number 10 team is huge and that the US is not a legit contender, but they are definitely one of the better teams in the world and are moving in the right direction.
No worries, Mexico will essentially be the fifty-first state in no time.
Then it's on ... like Donkey Kong.![]()
FIFA rankings are a joke.
Portugal is third.![]()
The hate towards the US national team has nothing to do with how they actually perform in football. Its not about football at all. It can't be, they don't really matter in the grand scheme of football tournaments, yet. It really is remarkable how the US is probably the only underdog who is never treated as one.
Having said that, the FIFA world ranking has always been a joke. They've had the US in 4th place, when the US hasn't been near 4th place, ever. Right now, they've seemed to fixed it somewhat. I've got no problem with 14th place for the US. They've come a long way.
I'll be rooting for them. I actually like them more than Mexico.
