Definately supporting the Celtics... sorry Banzai.
1) Hear "Anythingggggg is posibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" once again. KG and best actor peirce getting their 2nd ring.
or
Kobe getting his 5th, erasing duncan's chance to be the first between him shaq and kobe to get #5
Definately supporting the Celtics... sorry Banzai.
Can not and will not cheer for the Lakers.
Honestly, Im not even going to watch. Sure, I'll keep tabs on the scores, but I wouldnt shed 1 tear if somehow all players on both teams ended up getting season ending injuries.
This.
Boggles my mind how any Spurfan can root for that franchise and side with their fans.
agree, its hard to root for a team that crapped on your team over and over again.
I think along those lines too...
When they played in the finals 2 years ago I don't think I bothered to watch a whole quarter out of the series.
HOWEVER, as it was painful for me to watch 2 teams I dislike then, this year I prefer to see any of these 2 teams win a ring than seeing LeBron and his merry bunch of bags win anything.
And a long succesful playoff run by Dragic helped me go through the pains of seeing Spurs fail.
This because if the Celtics win, I get to see all the Lakers posters on here cry like es.
+1
although i wanted LA to beat phoenix, cause i dont want suns (mavs) fans to feel they are in the same basketball class as the spurs.
yah probably similar to the crying from Spurs fans the past few years right?
Spurfan doesn't cry.
The only es that cry are Kobe, Fish, Pop, and now Nash.
still crying upstairs about the Gasol trade almost 3 years later
They're like a spigot with it though. When Gasol brings it hammer & tong they're in the on position. When Gasol loiters the side door, they're dry as a Nun's snootch.
i set em up, blessings and old cul finish them off.![]()
I can whole heartedly understand why Spur fan wouldn't want to root for L.A., really I can. But if you love this game, why wouldn't you want to see the marquee match-up that it is?
Prior to '08, these 2 hadn't met in almost 22 years and it's only the 2nd time in 3 years. Love your hometown team all you want but the game purist in ya should still appreciate the lore and history that this series represents.
There are team fans and then there are game fans.
Which one are ya?
I prefer the Lakers win. Kobe's game is easy to appreciate (most of the time), and I'm not a fan of anyone on the Celtics.
FTL!!! Go Celtics!!! Wax that Laker ass!!!
Meh. I love the Lakers so of course glad I'm there. And because I'm a Laker fan I can appreciate the rivalry with the C's.
But I can understand why the appeal of "appreciate history" would leave fans of other teams cold. As a baseball fan, I have a minimal appreciation for the history of the Yankees and frankly couldn't care less about how their appearing in another World Series is somehow historically significant.
I think most fans kind of like to see the glory spread around a bit rather than a few clubs hogging all the les... unless it's your team dominating the rings of course.
Excellent point.
I don't care really. I dispise both teams.
I am rooting for the crown to stay in the West, regardless if it's the Fakers.
