Seriously. I was on my way to visit West ens and I came across one of those side quests where a guy was being chased by two cougars only to also have a pack of wolves and coyotes chasing him. I managed to kill the cougars because they don't focus on you when they're chasing another victim and wiped out the wolves...the freakin last remaining coyote killed the poor guy, though...
I've spent almost every spare minute I have playing this game, it's a great game. I don't even know how many hours I've poured into it, and I still haven't finished it.
I played MP a few times, but I got tired of getting owned by high ranked players with high powered guns constantly going after me and killing me. I like that I can jump Free Roam maps.
My brother and I go into the maps and we just throw knives at each other. It's pretty awesome. Up near Tall Trees where the waterfall is at, we got on opposite sides of the waterfall and threw knives at each other for an hour. lol
Thanks for the tips. Im still in Mexico but should be pretty close now. I'm doing my first mission with Abraham "Reyes" now. Don't know how much longer its going to take. Plus i've been trying to buy the damn rebel cloth from the store but its never available. I guess after I complete all the missions for Reyes I will be able to buy it and finally finish doing all the task for the rebel outfit. Then onto the North I assume.

I think its only for the PS3's Assasin's Outfit, but its required to finish the outfit and I have all but that one...Supposedly, its supposed to be patched soon...

I hate getting killed by criminal who are stopped on the side of the road with a stage coach and then some girl comes after you and begs for some money or some and before you know it your dead. So I try to speed past them or sneak up on them (if i know they are there) and use dead eye to kill them. I think I've died like 3 or 4 times by them.
Yeah, they take advantage of your kindess. When I first started this game, that was a in' problem. Now, I grab the girl, hogtie her, and then put her on the railroad and watch as the Splatterfest unfolds. Silly s...get yo' come-uppance on the tracks!

Only time I ever died was when I was on my horse and I was a couple feet away from the enemies. This game was a lot easier than GTA.
I forced my horse down off the side of a cliff and broke its neck; I didn't die though.
I dont know. I just seem to be killed by them a lot. I try to avoid them now. I finally killed me some boars but I was killed twice in a row by a damn cougar. Just got out of Mexico and headed up north. Gonna stop tonight and start the new land tomorrow. Im well over a full days worth playing and about 65 % done.
I read yesterday that a representative from Rockstar San Diego announced in a podcast that there were no plans for a PC version for the moment. I'm not entirely sure on the veracity of this but I just thought the few of you left waiting for a PC version should know.

The port of GTA to PC was many months after its release.
With L.A. Noire coming out, RDR's port will probably take longer.
Thanks for bringing that game back up. I remember seeing a thread about it here awhile back and couldn't remember what the game was called. All I know is the trailer is sweet.
It's pretty cool how you can fall down a cliff at the right angle/slope and you just tumble all the way down without dieing. I rolled down one for a good 10 seconds the other day.
The PC Port issue is the reason I got out of PC gaming. F** spending $2500 on a machine that has no games to play.
Damn. I have a day and a half total time played and I'm just into Mexico. I spend too much time hunting and playing poker. But I do have a lot of wins from poker and I've made about 6 grand hunting. As far as the ambushes, I usually ride past the coach, go into Dead Eye and pick the robbers off before they even have a chance to shoot. Then I always go back and shoot the execution style for trying to set up the ambush.
My younger brother has the game already. I'm thinking of getting it in about 2 weeks once I'm past the rent and all that. Some guys from work are also going to get it. Once we're on, we're forming a posse to just roam around ing people up.
Then we can talk about our posse at work. We need a good name as I'm sure Regulators is already taken.

Yeah you most likely spent too much time playing poker and hunting. I didn't go hunting all crazy but once I saw something I normally killed it. Didn't play much poker, but I've spent well over an hour playing liars dice.
i've tried going straight up against a train but my horse is too much of a coward.
I'm trying to get the Master Hunter Rank 6, but all the raccoons and skunks have disappeared. Anyone know where a good spot to find them is at?
