It's always fun till you lose. Poker 50% skill? 60? I have no idea I never play. Looks like it's easy to lose though so that's why i don't play =/
14 of my 15 last poker sessions with a profit. Just stayed there for a week spent a ton of money and still up $1300 for the week. Yes life is good.

Shouldn't you be dead? Poker is half skill half luck.
Lol. Dude definitely more than 50 percent skill. Over the past two years I have profited in 70 percent of my sessions. In long sessions there are many swings both being up and down, the key is jumping off on an upswing and not try to be too greedy. I will not argue that there is a certain element of luck, however there is a ton more luck in tournaments than cash games. If you put your money in good the math and odds will take care of the rest in the long haul. Yes there are days when you just cannot seem to win but for me those are few and far between. I make adjustments when I'm running bad to minimize my losses.
When you play cash games you are looking for profitable situations. You have the luxury of waiting as long as you want and not forcing anything if the cards are not coming. However in tournaments you do not have that luxury due to the blinds continuously raising you are forced to make plays/put your money in with ty cards. You cannot wait for the nuts in tourneys.
Most tourists in Vegas just run out of patience and do dumb like shove with top pair top kicker kind of hands only to be snapped off by my 46 off suit that has flopped two pair or a straight.
If only online poker was this easy.
1300 profit only?
thats kinda weak.
Considering I spent about $900 on food and partying and was still up $1300 whats weak?
My room was comped.
Where are you staying?
Flamingo but Im home now. I left this morning due to a gun show im selling at this weekend in Costa Mesa.
u heath, whats ur ranking in america?
i got a friend ranked 37th in australia...he does travel around the world for poker tourneys..
10 percent skill, 90 percent luck
The breakdown goes:
10% luck
20% skill
15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure
50% pain
yeah, no !
1300 over a week is kinda weak dude.
no worries, heath ledger just lettin us know what he's doing like we give a . nothing new here.
at the people saying poker is 50% luck.
Poker is at least 75% skill and at best 25% luck.
Unless you catch a run of cold cards for 90 minutes-plus, you're going to find a way to win hands if you know what you're doing. Even with rags, you can be dangerous if you know how to pick your spots.
Poker is zero percent luck over the long run. Its compelely luck in the short run.
x 1,000,000,000
people who play poker give themselves waaaaay too much credit![]()
And 100% reason to remember the name
Heaters gonna heat.
+1
I should have been up way more I played 5 cash sessions all week but long ones. I had several horrible beats due to runner runners and people putting a sick amount of money into the pot with very marginal hands and killing me on the river.
I played a very agressive game so i was swinging like a monkey and picking my spots well and getting big calls due to my loose image.
Manny you talk a good game have fun micro grinding online. It's obvious to me that I'm a solid player at my stakes and that's all I need to be because there are sony fish.
My guess Manny in live play you would be one of them.
Lololololol is that supposed to be a scoff?![]()
Kinda thought it was bad "luck" (which may or may NOT exist in gambling, apparently) to mention a heater when you're supposedly on one. Similar to pitchers going for the no-hitter.
[shrug]
Only $1300? I won 3 times that playing blackjack in 1 night.
This is so true. If poker is 75% skill, Jamie in Gold wouldn't have won the largest tournament of the year several years ago. Poker in my book is 60% luck and 40% skill, yeah, that 40% is enough where the great players can make good money off it, but no amount of skill can trump good luck.
holy , this is the worst song probably ever created.
