So at the oldest, it's 18 months. And despite the fact that it was available when the iPhone 3GS was released, they didn't use it in that phone. It's not exactly "dated" hardware when it's the fastest processor you can buy in a cell phone at the moment.

960x640 resolution. Pretty impressive. They're going to have a loooot of pixel density on the screen. That's a good thing for people getting the iPhone 4.

Not really. The width of the Evo makes it pretty comfortable to hold. My hands are less cramped than they were with the 3G.

I only say that because I had difficulty handling my iPhone at times, because of the size. The Evo is a much larger phone, so it's not as big of a deal.

Who knows. Maybe the iPhone 4 will be extremely easy to handle and text on.

960x640x3.1"(?) for the iPhone.

If you've got small pockets, the iPhone is definitely a better bet. High pixel count but a smaller screen. It's a trade-off.
