You forget that KG gets paid to be good too. KG is a former MVP.
says the guy obsessed with Kobe and talks about Kobe in all his posts.

more touches? so he can stand there and do nothing again?
I guess you'd be happy if Gasol just played point.
Lmao @ Laker fans. The OP, a Laker fan, brought kobe into the conversation by saying Pau is making Kobe a chucker by passing it out.
Literally the first ing post.
cy@
and thats why i didnt start a thread about him doing good and giving his props.
I dont have to. You and your alter egos toss enough around for the entire internet much less this board.
Go to tonights game thread. I called Kobe out for his ty 2nd half.
which isnt praising Kobe either.
Everything Laker is Kobe related. Good or bad. You should know this by now. He gets the glory so naturally when things are not going right he also gets equal blame.
You should create threads like "Kobe.. u a !" when he's having he's less than stellar NBA Finals performance.
Laker brethren do not ALLOW yourself to be trolled by the singular human s that is HarlemChris.
Brace yourself for #16 IN Boston.
The phone is ringin!
Mr. Auerbach is on the line and he needs room to roll over!!!
good point!
ChrisRichards is rooting for the Lakers now...dont know why he isnt in a happy mood.
Am I the only one noticing how much Sheed bothers Pau on defense?
KG should be the better defender but Pau has pretty much had his way with KG. Not so with Sheed. Not real quick anymore but very smart and he really seems to know where Pau is going before he goes.
Length and physicality bother Pau. Sheed does match up well with him.
But that doesn't excuse Pau's passiveness. He kept passing it out of the post to Kobe expecting to bail him out. Pau needs Fisher's fearless mentality. He needs to take he wants even when isn't going his way.
Gasol is a and has become slightly overrated, but at the same time if Bryant didn't have a hero complex, the Lakers would have won this game going away. Gasol and Bynum should have received a lot more touches tonight and they didn't because Bryant came with his typical "don't forget about me" game. Gasol was getting too much publicity and Bryant was clearly growing increasingly jealous, so he was desperate to put up big numbers tonight in an attempt to get the spotlight back on him and leave no doubt in people's minds that he should be the Finals MVP.
Gasol will let it slide because they won and it's the Finals, but there's no doubt in my mind that if they had lost this game, he'd have ed to the media about the lack of touches. He's not stupid, he knows exactly what Bryant is trying to do and it's only going to get worse in the coming seasons as the gap continues to close between the two.
The reason Bryant has always loved having Gasol is because he knows he can win championships with him, but also he was head and shoulders better than him and Gasol had a deferential personality. That's no longer the case. The gap is closing fast and Bryant recognizes it. If you think his hero complex is bad now, wait until next year and the year after, etc. He can't handle sharing the spotlight with someone else.
I happen top think Pau is the top big man in the league. I have issues from time to time with his softness on D and complaining on every posession. His skills are 2nd to none but he is NOT a leader or go to guy in the clutch and he has proven that over his entire career.
I love that he is on our team as his excellent contributions make a contender the team to beat.
With all that said, anyone who suggests that Pau is the MVP of the Lakers is a complete moron. Does this mean he couldn't be for a week or two stretch or in a particular series? Of course not. He could very well be the finals mvp this year but in no way is he the Laker MVP. Only in your pea brain.
BTW, did you happen to see the timeouts with the Laker huddles. Where was Pau? Was he there leading the team on? Nope. The entire team was focused on one person and that person was commanding total respect from them, inculding Pau.
Oh yeah I really noticed that in today's game. Rasheed plays him really well in the post. Pau needs to face him up and take him off the dribble. He can draw fouls all day long on Rasheed if he faces him up and drives and help doesn't come. Rasheed does not have the footspeed to stay with him. If Rasheed backs off and takes away the drive, then Pau needs to take that open 10-15 ft jumper which he has the ability to hit with regularity.
Go over to the game thread. Pretty much every laker fan dissed on Kobe for tonights 2nd half. The Gasol u a thread is no doubt a direct reflection on the idiot poster like you who have spent the whole season raggin on Kobe and using any significant Laker player performance to downgade him. Especially on Paus part.
You are obsessed... and it's comical to watch... and that $100 bucks is going to be sweeeeeeeeeet!
Gasol's skills aren't second to none; they're second to one. As in Duncan. Duncan has lost mobility and durability, but he hasn't lost his skills. He may not dig as deep into his repertoire as he used to, as all the pivoting, twisting, turning and spinning probably hurts his knees, but there's no question in my mind that he's more skilled than Gasol.
And Bryant is a phony ass leader playing to the cameras (what's worse is that these pea brain idiots seem to buy it, or at least pretend to because they're desperate to make him seem better than he is). He doesn't rank amongst the best leaders in the league, such as Duncan, Kidd, Billups, Nash, Ginobili, etc.
Absolutely. Sheed has better lateral movement and anticipates Pau's post moves well. His length troubles him a lot.
Once again ABC/ESPN making it all about Bryant. Going to/coming out of breaks, he's always the first face shown, the first name uttered. This is why ESPN is a joke. Fisher should have received all of the glory (my dislike for him only increased with his diva like Oscars acceptance speech while being interviewed post game) and Bryant should have been ripped to shreds for pounding the ball into the floorboards, not utilizing the Lakers big men nearly enough and jacking up myriad ridiculous long range, off balance, contested shots. If Jackson still had a pulse, he might have actually done something about the fact that Bryant almost gifted the Celtics a win.
am i the only who doesnt even feel like reading TD 21's posts? lol
Fisher did receive the glory today. The first person who got interviewed after the game was Fisher. He didn't win the game by himself though.
Kidd and Nash? LOL. The ringless duo.![]()
KG is a future hall of famer.
not being able to stop him is nothing to be ashamed about.
but not being able to pullout a decent post move tonight was horrible. He became like Game 1 Garnett.
