Fisher crying is fine especially from a guy that has been getting owned game after game. I forgot how much the Spurs kicked the out of the lakers to close the great western forum. Ahhh the memories
Yeah, the Spurs 3-8 playoffs record against the Lakers just screams Spur ownership!

Not about ownership. Just about the moment. I forgot how bad we beat the Lakers that game. Fisher is the only player on the Lakers round after round that served as an advantage for the other team. If you get one game in the finals where he pulls the win out you can't ask fo more.

    .
.......and how Shaq, Kobe AND Fish closed down the Alamo Dome back in '01 and if memory serves me well......it was quite the a$$ kicking. Need some more strolls down memory lane? I can oblige.

Yeah but which team got the three-peat? My memory is a bit fuzzy.

Remember that 2008 year where the defending champion Spurs were curbstomped in 5 games by a Laker team missing two starters?

    derek fisher.

During the 08 Collusion Year of the Lakers, they told Kobe Bryant that they promise they will do what it takes to fix it THIS SEASON.

Bryant had demanded a trade, remember?

    Gasol collusion trade,

Derek Fisher suddenly "my daughter needs out of Utah, please, her eyes and " Yeah, his daughter has a real disease, but he was convinced by Lakers to come back to be Lakers PG. LAKERS HAD NO PG and there was no solution to that problem soon.

So Fisher promises Utah, "YEAH I PROMISE I WILL NOT GO TO LA, PLEASE, FOR MY DAUGHTER, LET ME OUT OF MY CONTRACT"

    then bam

    He goes to LA.

sons, Derek Fisher and the Lakers.

You do what you got to do sometimes. I doubt your perfect Miami and being that you've never been a pro-basketball player with a daughter you'll never really know what you would do in that situation. We are all "weasels" in life and do what we can to give us an advantage in life. It's only human. Your not above it. I am not above it. Nobody is above it. Even basketball players.

    Welcome to life.

Not I. Nash, in front of that locker was more genuine than Fish. I loved Nash there. Media hadn't the opportunity to package it, make a buck off it before we shamelessly were privy to this private moment. Good for us?

    It was stunningly beautiful.

I was a stay at home father for my three children. Those were the best days. They're all grown and gone now. Went by in a blink. It's just me and the old lady once again. When I watch a movie on the cable I always look at the date and contemplate the ages of the boys at that time and what it was like at that moment. They used to play in the backyard all day long, in the dirt, in the mud, then come in and I'd have 'em stand by kitchen sink, and soak their little dirty hands in the dishwater whilst I cleaned their faces, blew their noses and brush their hair. Then set them onto the washing machine that was in the corner of the kitchen where I'd give them each a tight hug. No hands twixt the bodies, chest to chest, and squeeze as hard as I dared.

I'll take those mems to the grave.

    Yup.

Same here. What Nash did in revealing himself like that was to remind us that even though it's a kids game, we still feel pain in losing (I actually heard that on t.v the other day).

For all of us in here who have ever played organized sports, we can relate to Nash.

Nah I feel for him, hes gone through a lot of . Having a child with a health condition is a pretty big ing deal. I work on the side for a nonprofit that deals with parents who have children with special health care needs and it takes a ing toll on the parents and family. Fisher was able to overcome that and hit those shots, hes got a right to be emotional.
Yeah, and using that health condition as a reason to get out of his Utah contract to go back and play for the Lakers was a real class act

    Derek Fisher.

You ain't lilly white there with the Silver & Skunked. You've had Bowen. You've had Rodman. You still have Manu. They're as dirty as our Fish.

Nobody knows what transpired between Miller & Fish. The fact is Miller gave his consent and entered his house justified. His family dredging up this caca is not what Miller wanted. Miller did the right thing in his eyes. If Fish was not being truthful with him then that is between Fish & his maker. Miller couldn't bargain over the health of a child, that's why he did not take back compensation. The thought probably repulsed him.

It's not a matter of being perfect or imperfect. It's the fact that he used his daughters illness as a means to take advantage of someones kindness.

If it was the other way around, and Fisher used his daughters illness as a reason to get out of his contract and go play for Lebron, you would hate him as much as Jazz fans.

People are calling out his character as if eveyone is above doing anything like this in the real world. That's my only point.

Miller saved millions of dollars by letting Fish go. I'm sure he was heartbroken over the matter.
