Yeah let's call up the Strikeout Machine and see him whiff 3 times a game and then hit into a double play his other at bats. At least Smoak is showing some discipline. He's not getting hits but he's showing he has a clue what to do at the plate, the hits will come eventually.

The bullpen is getting worked way too much and that will start leading to trouble later. They need another starter to replace Harden, he's just a 4 to 5 inning guy at best.

Smoak doesn't look quite ready for the big leagues, but Davis has proven he can't hit MLB pitching with any consistency if at all, but given neither guy can hit right now I'd take Davis' glove in the field over Smoak right now. Smoak needs more work.

Hopefully the new bankruptcy proceedings (ch 11) will expedite this process because they need the new ownership group to take over baaaaadd. In an interview with Greenberg he said he and Ryan have a team waiting to make over the franchise with a lot of innovation both baseball wise and off the field wise, but they're just sitting waiting til the moment the sale goes through.

I was on the rangers bandwagon long time ago. Grew up watching the cardinals cause they are from stl.


My first ranger game was in 1991 when they played Oakland in Oakland.

I remember gary pet tis the now first base coach okaying the outfield along with Juan Gonzalez and Ruben Sierra.

Nolan Ryan signed my ticket and I still have that ticket. Became a cofan ever since.

In the month of June, Justin Smoak is hitting .400 with 2 homers and 10 RBI in 10 games played. What a shock, a rookie improving and playing better.

The Brewers are a strange team. They are solid hitters and their pitchers are mediocre to bad at best but there are games were they go into Brewers of 08 mode.

Tough series it will be but they SHOULD win 2 of three maybe sweep, the Brewer's pitching should help out the Rangers alot.
