No, TCU does not have that much of a following. And Arkansas is only lightly considering the prospect. However, Aggs BOR have (according to reports) made a 6-3 vote in favor of the SEC; therefore talks of saving the Big XII are over once an invitation is official.

TCU brings nothing money wise because UT and to a lesser extent OU and Tech already own the DFW market. They need a team with a market, Ark is a start and would be interesting. I'd love to lure another team away along with ark and keep the big 12
At this point, the only two that would keep the Big XII alive are probably Notre Dame or LSU.

Chip has been a very respected journalist and Big 12 journalist for a while, but I think his inside sources and the University might be using his platform to get info out to help their cause. Right now he's reporting that UT is ready to roll with a 10 school big 12, but that could just be a smoke screen that UT is throwing out to put pressure on Aggie to be the bad guy who breaks up the conference.
His sources at Texas most certainly are USING him. That is what I am saying. He has been wrong on every point he has made thus far.

Never mentioned that Texas was the one that gave the deadline to Nebraska and Missouri to commit to the Big 12.

No, I didn't think those stories were happening...I've felt he was selling garbage since day 1.
And its not so much the information he is putting out, as I agree this stuff is secret. Its the fact he is putting info out there as the be-all-end-all.
Arkansas would be re ed to go BIG12. If the BIG12 doe stay together they are going to have to pickup smaller programs who don't necessarily care about making big $
