Exactly.
To be honest.............this is pretty much the only thing Im concerned about.![]()
Exactly.
very good point.
Seems ESPN has offered Big12 a TV package to keep it together. Big 12-2 seems it will live on. All that speculation for nothing.
This will royally piss me off if it happens...
Looks like its all but signed. OU newspaper is already claiming its a done deal. ESPN offered them a new contract. Big 12 will remain with just 10 teams. Texas/A&M/OU will all pull in 20 million $ annually with Texas also getting their own network projected to pay them an extra 3-5mil. Rest of the big 12 will make an estimated 12 mil a year which is a step above what they were already making. For example Baylor was only pulling in around 6-7 mil a year which practically doubles their $.
ESPN kept it together with the new TV package.
I assume all teams have the right to their own network if they choose, correct? Even if it might not be feasible for everyone at the moment, they better all have that option at least (not exclusively Texas).
That's a question I have been hearing lately. I'm pretty sure they could if they wanted to.
From Chip Brown:
A&M called Texas' bluff.ChipBrownOB
1. L.Scott says he had deal w/ TX. Sources say TX backed out of deal with P10 by saying because A&M wasn't on board w/ P10 the deal was off.
Actually sounds like the Pac10 said f off when texas wanted their own network.
Texas was just as hesitant to leave A&M than A&M was to leave Texas. In the end, I think they both would have been better off without each other though. still playing an OOC game of course.
When are you going to learn not to listen to a ing word that bag says?
