Conservatives were on top of it, but liberals believed the lies. It's hard to stomach Glen Beck, but this deserves to be seen:
If you are part of the lucky 49%
51% of Employees Cannot Keep Current Coverage Under New ‘Grandfathered’ Guarantee
I have said when we debated this before, but lib s didn't believe me.
Conservatives were on top of it, but liberals believed the lies. It's hard to stomach Glen Beck, but this deserves to be seen:
The GOP can change it in 2013 when they win the next few elections...
It will be too late that far out. Conservatives need to win the 2010 elections. hart to stop a moving train once it gains speed.
It's never too late for anything. If the train takes off then it means more people like it than people who do not, and thus the GOP will want no part in changing it.
On the other hand, if it truly sucks, there will be no problem changing it to something different.
So if the employer changes their plan to decrease benefits to offset costs then then the employer simply drops the plan. I guess then if you want bertter health coverage you could go work for a company who does have a health plan.Mid-range estimates show that 51% of all employees in 2013 will be in plans without “grandfathered” status as employers will be forced to change their plans.
So it us up to the employer.. thanks for clearing that up WC..
(side note) it would suck if this did happen
There's no "IF" about it. It will happen.
Carter Glass and Henry B. Steagall would disagree.....
so they will drop the coverage. who is to blame?
The people who voted for the laws that really don't grandfather old plans in. All plans will have to have specific minimums. This will drive the cost too high for some employers. They will be forced to drop employee coverage making their employees get the government plan.
whats wrong with that?
Everything. No point in explaining since you are against free market activities.
no wonder she left.
What will stop other health providers from stepping and offering other options? Isn't that the free market system at work? who cabn provide the most at the cheapest rate? are telling me that these insurance companies would rather go out of business than not meet specific miniums? what other options do they have?
"I read" where ATT spends $2.4B on employee health, but would be fined only $600M for dropping the health plan.
Get employers out of the health insurance loop, it's a historical anomaly going back to the 1940s.
Expand Medicare for all as buy in, as a strong public option, cancel the fricking exchanges.
simplify simplify simplify.
America is so ed and is ing itself more.
An AMA report this week said US blows $200B/year on insurance claims paperwork, with 20% of claims being in error.
I see you flunked economics. Sorry, no time to explain right now. I'll leave it for now that as the requirements are raised, so does the cost. Insurance companies would go out of business if they charged less than they paid out.
this dumbass still believes insurance companies aren't reaping billions.
WC says they will go out of business... I guess he flunked econ 101.. ( for which I scored the highest grade in my econ 1 & 2 classes).
so what about the brand new market that is created? are these companies going to ignore this new market? the one that contains young people who rarely get sick..wouldn't that add to the bottom line?
I agree somewhat with the insurance companies that the bulk of the costs are from medical inflation. But the insurance companies profits are still many $Bs on the back of sick people.
they kick the sick people off of their rolls.. I guess that is the free market at it's best.
The Fed (if that's what you're referring to) is supported by both parties. What WC is talking about is a health program that the GOP supposedly doesn't like or support.
So, when they get back in power, they can change it.
no .
Think I should respond to Laurel and Hardy? They think the insurance industry can absorb the extra costs without raising premiums.
dip thinks insurance companies are broke.
