The Fed (if that's what you're referring to) is supported by both parties. What WC is talking about is a health program that the GOP supposedly doesn't like or support.

So, when they get back in power, they can change it.
So what happens if the insurance industry is already damaged before they can change it?

    - The article makes notice that the changes you mention take effect in 2013 (you did read the article you posted, right?)

    - What kind of damage you expect insurance companies to have when citizens begin to be forced to contract their services merely a year later?

We can discuss grandfathered plans or the lack of them. This is a win-win to the insurance companies no matter which way you go. Unless there are any news, I'll probably be buying insurance co stock around that time.

    no .

Think I should respond to Laurel and Hardy? They think the insurance industry can absorb the extra costs without raising premiums and reducing billions in profits

Parts of the legislation takes place sooner. Not only that, but businesses often plan years ahead. They may take proactive action and drop insurance early.

Those billions in profit are not an excessive profit margin. There isn't enough profit to make up for added coverage. There is probably more room to remove taxation than there is to remove profit.

Do you believe corporations should not make a profit? Those billions are spread out over so many stock holders also.

Do you understand these things? the way you respond, I think not.

You miss the point. legislation will require more coverage. The insurance companies will have to charge more to cover the extra liability. This will price insurance out of reach of many employers to offer to their employees.

Give a damn about what? I just don't see what's the actual problem.

One of the following will happen (just off the top of my head, I'm sure there will be more options out there)

    - Insurance Co's will adjust their policies to make the price compe ive again.
    - Insurance Co's will insure employees directly

I don't see where the damage to Insurance Co is.

Not to mention that companies that decide to drop health plans will do so knowing full well they'll be at a compe ive disadvantage.

Again, I don't really see what you're bickering about, exactly.

Strawman. Quote where I want corporations not to make a profit, please.

I'm just wasting my time with you.

I pray the health care pushed on us by the democrats gets repealed, or dramatically changed. I most certainly do not want to prove you wrong when it will be devastating. The only way you will believe me is if happens, but I solidly trust it will happen as I said if the law remains.

A fruitless win, but if you like them that way. I'll forfeit the battle because I am battle weary. This is a topic we discussed before without resolve. My ADD is kicking in. I still stand by my convictions, but I simply have no way to prove it without endless point by point discussions which I will not waste so much time on.

Again, I hope history doesn't prove my point, but that the only thing I see that will convince you ing socialists. Maybe politicians or the courts overturn this. Maybe once the courts overturn mandating people buy a product, the rest will crumble.
