I was wondering how Spain would do. A lot of people think they are contenders. But I think it will just be as usual, Spain sucking in World cups. I dont think this WC will be any different for them. We'll see.

I never understood how Spain always manages to get themselves into a hole in the WC.
We'll see if they find a way out.

Del Bosque should have started the game with two forwards. They had a lot of ball possesion but not many chances, mainly 'cause they had only Villa in the box.

people will start to understand why mighty brasil picked the players it did. Not now, not even when the groups end but afterwords.

You NEED to be mentally strong besides all the other soccer attributes. Spain should not concede the occasions it concedes. It's like watching la lakers without the refs bailing them as in a load of talent and the propensity to fall of a cliff in terms of mental strength, when they're on they're an offensive juggernuat, when they're not and play a good team than shows some grit they fade.

That's why I was saying about brasil, look at alot of their players: lucio, maicon, fabiano, juan, melo, gilberto .. those ain't pussies by a long shot, sure they have robinho/kaka for finesse. Spain is too much finesse and that's why IT ALWAYS GOT EXPOSED IN WC.

As if villa is a targetman... not even torres is.

The only guy that fits the bill is guiza but the coach would get raped by the press for a (good) move. You ain't getting through 10 people with finesse unless you are lucky ( or brasil ofc where your rb scores the goal of the tourney)

If Spain loses this game and ends up second in the group, they'll face Brazil in the round of 16, I bet you that Spain will beat Brazil there.

They're losing to Switzerland but they'll beat Brazil in an elimination game? Are you high?

First, this game hasn't end. Second, results don't translate from one game to the other. Italy in the last WC tied or lost (I don't remember) with some B level team and then ended up winning the whole thing beating Germany, France, etc. on their way. France the same thing, lost to I don't know who and then beat Brazil in the quarters. Regardless of this game Spain is still the best NT in the world.

Way too much time left for the swiss to hold on. The way Spain is shooting, it'll almost be a miracle if they don't score
