the way I see it he single handedly out rebounded Boston's BIG 3 combined and pretty much tied 2 of them combined in scoring...His numbers in rebounds and in points was better than any single performance of the big 4 while having a ty offensive night. That makes Bostons case even worse....

It was a uva game. I am very proud of this Lakers team. Who would have thought they could win a game like that, I certainly had my doubts. I have to give Props to Pau Gasol. He didn't look anything like the player that played soft during the season. He showed a lot of heart last night. He was getting banged up often but just got back up and dished it back out.
Ron Ron, you're the man and the difference. Thanks for bringing that much needed toughness the Lakers lacked. I have never seen a Lakers team so ferocious on Defense. You brought that to the lakers.

I too had terrible doubts after Games 4 & 5. I was steeling myself for the loss, getting my mind wrapped around it.
And you're right, it was Artest who saw us all thru to the end, Kobe and us alike. Who'd a thought a mentally fragile human being like Artest would bring us all thru the dark and into the light? It's just so amazing and beautiful.

This series is just what America needed…Two equally matched teams, both with injuries, both with calls not going their way, both coaches making game time adjustments…In the end one team won….No calls to Ralph Nader claiming conspiracy, no complaints about the officiating, just one team receiving the trophy & the other team graciously admitting defeat…Ali /Frasier, Jack Johnson/ Jim Jeffries, Jack Dempsey/ Gene Tunney….Joe Louis vs. the World…
No finger pointing, no pouting, just pure joy followed by drunken celebration…This is how it is done my friends…
I realize that it is too late for adult fans of teams who have never won anything to learn these sound principles…But it is not too late for their children to learn…The world gives you nothing; you have to earn it… Drag your inebriated butt out of bed & get to work…It’s what Champions do…
