Unfortunately for all of us, it's the Rangers. We love what's going on now but know that inevitably it will end in heartbreak.

If our pitching staff stays consistent and the bullpen doesn't wear down then I like the odds. This is against all odds and financial constraints a very good performing team.
But it's happened before...the Rays, the Marlins...sometimes guys just get together and realize it's a game, and have fun..that's what it takes to win. Hopefully they keep going out there and having fun..who knows what could happen.
For a team to choke they would have to give the illusion of being good. The Astros have never given that illusion. You should go with Lastros instead of chokestros.
BTW, the Rangers have a really nice squad. They play hard and have a bunch of youth with a couple of vets sprinkled in. If only the Astros had that kind of talent.
Thing is, it seems the Astros do have that talent..they just don't play like it.
Trust me. I have seen 95% of all innings played this year and they really lack talent. Berkman is done. Lee sucks , both literally and figuratively. Oswalt and Michael Borne are the only players that have shown up this season.
I really hope Oswalt ends up on the Rangers. It seems like a good group of guys to surround himself with and they are the only other team in the MLB that I don't mind. It's bitter hatred for every other team.
Wow..I actually agree with that sentiment. I don't mind Houston..would love to see them do something. I just knew we were going to see an Astros/Rangers World Series in 1994 before the strike. Pissed me off. I thought Lee was really going to do something for you guys, but who knows. I'll rephrase what I said. Your team has players who have/had talent. Some of them are fading (Berkman), but I think they still have something in them. It's like they don't care...well..most of them.

Similar situation as the Rangers earlier this decade.
We had a lot of overthehill inconsistent stat guys. We had guys like Arod, Palmeiro, Caminiti, Pudge, Juan Gonzalez, Phil Nevin, Andres Galarraga but could never climb out of last place
Unless your the Yankees or Red Sox, things just go in cycles
I think the Rangers are finally in a good position, though. Young, talented players, one of the best farm systems in the league. We're looking like we may have a good future ahead of us.
josh hamilton is a ing beast. How long can he keep this up?
Great question, man..as long as he stays healthy and clean, I guess. He was a great pickup for the FO...love that guy.
