A group of the Celtics' most famous fans, ranging from actors and comedians to other Boston-area pro athletes, has honored the team with a full-page advertisement in the Globe this morning.
"You are our 2010 World Champions" reads the ad, which was signed by television personality Maria Menounos, comedian Dane Cook, actor Eliza Dushku and musician/actor Donnie Wahlberg. Patriots Wes Welker and Vince Wilfork and Wilfork's wife, Bianca, also signed the ad, as did several others from the entertainment industry: -- Chris Evans, Michael and Mic e Chiklis, Chris Ivery, Ellen Pompeo, Keven Undergaro and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
Wahlberg, Menounos and Cook were particularly visible at most of the NBA Finals games, and they became the face of the Celtics' fan base both in Boston and Los Angeles.
When McLovin and the wife of a football player are your best celebrities, you know you're reaching for straw. Hopefully they can take this banner and hang it up there with that blank banner Doc had put up in the practice facilities .........

Wow, the Celtic fans support their team. Can't be, right?
This is why I will always hate Celtic fans. They can't even admit defeat when defeated.
A classless organization and fanbase.
*Danny Ainge throws a towel up in the air to distract this post.
I don't know if I'd call the gesture classless, but it's definitely stupid.
Someone should start a poll as to which is more inaccurate: calling the losing team the world champions, still referring to Donnie Wahlberg as a musician, or ever referring to Dane Cook as a comedian.
Yeah, you'd think their colors where purple and gold.
Hey! It says musician/actor Donnie Wahlburg, thank you very much.
Don't knock the kid. He's hanging tough.
I'm not knocking the actor part of it. He's a of an actor. He was the in Band of Brothers. In fact he's such a good actor that I think he should be pardoned for his crimes against music and just be referred to as an actor from now on.
Yeah, as an actor, he's got it. The Right Stuff, that is.
Well played.
LOLLLLLLLLL I dont know whats funnier.."you are our 2010 champions" or that only one "celebrity" that signed this is black hahahaha.
or you took Kobe to 7 games with Perk missing the last game hahaha things like this is why this le will make me feel great for a longggg time LOL
Dazed, with the goods.
I read the names ... but where are the celebrities?
Moral victories in sports are for es who lose the actual game
Reminds me of the Pizza Hut commercial. "My coach takes us out to Pizza Hut after we lose games." This is what we've come to, that there are no real winners or losers?
