You may be a little disappointed next year then.![]()
Unfortunately, it rests on Yao's health again. He won't be 100 % and that is precisely why they are moving up to take Cousins, bad choice joyce![]()
I just wanna see Dirk win the ring he deserves from 2006.
Don't really care who else wins or doesn't win a ring.
Ghazi, I like you, yer peaches with me, but, nobody, absolutely nobody "deserves" a ring. It's weak to assert such.
Randy Moss.
Oh, wait a sec.
Seriously, I'd like to see Nash get a ring. He plays hard, and yes, his defense sucks, but I'd like to think that someone that cares that much will get the ring he deserves.
There's not many others I can think of, off the top of my head. I wouldn't mind Dirk getting a ring. I wouldn't mind Yao. I wouldn't mind Gerald Wallace. *shrug*

i see atleast some laker fans mention spurs and lebron......insecure bas s
Hey you are not limited to anything. If they prefer that then you can't do anything about it. Besides you can put any Laker imaginable in your list -- and we can't do anything about it.
Anyone who signs a contract extension with the Phoenix Suns obviously doesn't care too much about getting a ring. If all people who might "deserve" it, Nash certainly isn't one of them.
And neither does Grant Hill for that matter, but the fact he's a spook who went to Duke and acts white means he's a classy win first guy who wants to win at all costs![]()
People are gonna interpret this as me hating on Nash and Hill, but their actions speak for themselves, neither one seems to really give a about winning a ring. Nash signed a two year extension last year with a team that VERY best case scenario (i.e. the way this year played out) was a dark horse contender. If Nash wanted, he could entering free agency next month and negotiating an MLE deal with the Lakers, instead he took the financially lucrative route. He chose money over winning, plain and simple.
Grant Hill only several days ago picked up a player option with a team that has no chance to win it all next year, he chose not to be a free agent and have the ability to sign with LA/Boston/whatever team Lebron goes to for the vet's min when that door was more than open for him. He, like Nash, chose money over winning. They both have demonstrated a strong disinterest in getting that elusive championship.
It's not necessarily a bad thing, I don't blame Nash for not wanting to take a back seat to Kobe, but neither Nash nor Hill have done anything to earn a sob story about how they don't have a ring.
I don't want to see with a ring:
Los Angeles Lakers--For the good of the league, unless something drastic changes, I want a more compe ive season than last. Can you really imagine a world where Sasha Vujacic and Luke Walton have three rings?
Steve Nash--Shouldn't have made him a two-time MVP. All team accomplishments become his, and he's considered the best point guard of this era, hands-down. He's not. I don't want his place to be cemented. I want him to be ringless and NBA Finals-less when he retires.
Dwight Howard--The Orlando Magic have many flaws and Howard has been put in the upper-echelon of NBA big men. A ring would mean that he's thrown into the category of the all-time greats. He's got plenty of holes in his game and he's not as skilled and controlled at both ends as people may think. Until his game improves, I don't want to have that discussion.
Atlanta Hawks--They have a lot of improvement to make in consistently playing. I wouldn't respect them if they could get their hands on the gold ball.
I want to see win a Ring:
Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz--I like this Utah squad, but especially Williams. He is a class-act with the prototypical point guard game. If I could clone one PG with his brilliance and size, I would want this player to be the one. He deserves to hold the gold ball and I would love to see Jerry Sloan finally walk away with the hardware.
Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder--I just love the way they play basketball. I think they have some of the brightest and most effective young talents in Westbrook and Durant. I love the way they are coached and I love the way they play. They need someone in the middle, but that is about it. The role players, the pursuit of the basketball, shot selections--when they put their minds to it, they can do this with anyone in the league. I'd love to see them rewarded for all of that.
------
As for Lebron James and Dirk Nowitzki, I don't care really one way or the other. I'd love to see James leave Cleveland because I don't like the team they built around him and I would love to see a coach that could put his boot in his hindparts and make him play the way he's capable of playing in terms of the team concept. Dirk, at this stage, is not one of my favorite players. He's become a one-on-one player foul-line down. He doesn't run, his teammates don't do anything to help his case. If it happens for him, it would be a lifetime achievement award, not necessarily because of the way he plays now. I would be lukewarm on the subject if he won one.
