Like Horry said, it's not hate on Barber, it's love for Choice and Jones. Those two guys are great as well, and can take some carries away from him without the Cowboys falling off. Besides, he's a Cowboy. Lot of Cowboy haters out there..
Always been a huge MB3 fan--the dude is a flat out animal at tailback. Jones and Choice are great backs though, too--people are always looking for the next big thing.
Personally, I love the 3 headed monster approach.
It's because dallas has Tashard Choice: the best 3rd string running back in NFL history.
Just another china doll running back in a stable of china doll running backs.
Same here. Although I do wish they would move MB3 back into the closer role. Let Felix or Choice start the game, and MB3 can close it out. It worked out perfectly the last yeart with Julius Jones, and I think if they go back to that, it would still be the perfect role for him.
I agree--MB3 as a closer is beautiful to watch (especially when it comes against the 'skins or the eagles lol). He's a flat out bulldozer as is--imagine him consistently fresh at the end of games and frothing at the mouth for some contact after Jones and Choice have already run the opposition's legs off.
I hate the offseason![]()
i know choice and felix are the future, but barber has been beast for us for years and people act like he sucks
?? Hmm..who acts like he sucks? Everyone in here knows he's a beast by the goal line.
Tim Hightower had more rushing TD's than Barber. Yeah he's a beast.
Last year he had a pretty bad quad injury lingering all season so I'm hoping that with good wheels this year he'll go back to being a good short yardage back as well. Last year he was horrible in short yardage.
Here's the deal with Barber. He's not the most explosive, big gain back but he does the other duties a running back has to do better than the other 2. He's the better blocker and blitz pickup guy so that makes him a 3rd down necessity, and surprisingly he's the best receiver outbid the backfield that the Cowboys have.
Hightower also didn't have to compete with the best 3rd string running back in NFL history for touches!
Marion the Barbarian is the best goal line back in the league hands down
