At first I felt bad for the OP... but then I just felt bad for the buttons.
Why would anyone have 2 commas in their bank account anyway? The FDIC and NCUA only insure banks and credit unions for up to $250,000 per account. Anything after that is just wasted money if the bank goes under.
Either this guy failed at trying to make himself look good, or he's failed in taking care of his finances by hiring an accountant. Either way, it's just fail all around.

And you too have FAILED by trying to use FDIC as a way to call out his ignorance in handling finances. You can have your bank account insured to well over a million dollars (not that you ever need to worry about that...) through standard FDIC guidelines. It is actually all about how the accounts are styled. If you have a co-owned account each owner is insured up to $250k. If you have anyone listed as POD on your accounts, each person listed is an additional $250k insured through FDIC.
So if he insists on lying about his account balance.... let the er go ahead an do so.
